    Beautiful collection! I have a very large, tall single trunked ficus longefolia and I named her Truffila after the Lorax trees because she has a Pom Pom of leaves atop her one trunk and she is adorable! She’s been beautiful and happy for about 8 yrs. In the large pot she came in. Lately, the very tips of the leaves are just a bit yellow. I’ve not changed watering. Does this variety get root bound and would it be good to change pot? Some plants like being root bound… thanks for your help.

    Really enjoyed you snd your ficus'. Moving to Florida with lots of light in the house so I'm looking to add to my already large plant collection. Alreaf got a fig. She's doing well. Initially didn't have enough humidity so the new growth put out spotted leaves (edema), but a 24 hr on humidifier help with that.
    Where can I get those tote bag-like plant containers. They are fab!!!

    • @ThatFoliageLife
      @ThatFoliageLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not really sure what containers you're talking about but I have used the zip bags that doona blankets come in! 😂 Thank you for watching!

    • @thegiftlady1
      @thegiftlady1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They look like canvas tote bags.
      UPDATE ON MY FICUS:
      While packing she was out on the stairs. It was an unusually hot, sunny day in NY. She got SO SUNBURNED, I was so sad 😭. When we got here to Florida she got a haircut (removed dead leaves and the dead on a few leaves was trimmed off). When we settled in I put her out in the Linai in the shade. I had poked a 1/4" poly cotton wick up in to the pot and put it in a ziplock with a little water so she didn't dry out during the very hot moving days in the car. I decided to leave the wick in when we got here. Now, the pot is in another, larger pot that's sitting on an upside down bowl with cord long enough to sit in the overflow, bottom water so she can have a little drink of water all the time without drowning (it's very hot here). She's growing like mad! She loves the humidity and heat, NO DIRECT SUN. About 6 new gorgeous, shinny, large leaves came in in 2 months. She loves it here!

    Hello, do Fiddle Leaf Figs do well in air conditioned rooms?

    • @ThatFoliageLife
      @ThatFoliageLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My fiddle is in an air conditioned room, but it also is in a space that gets a lot of light. It's doing very well, but I believe it's a combination of a lot of aspects that keep it happy. Every situation is specific to an individual space, so I can't truly give you a definitive response on this.

    • @thegiftlady1

      Shade and lots of humidity. Mine are thriving with indirect light. Mine has a 1/4" poly cotton wick in the pot and that pot is in a larger pot with an upside down bowl so the long wick gets wet but the roots are not constantly just-watered wet. The wick is to avoid total dry out here in v. hot Fl., zone 9A.

    I'm trying to find out what kind of unicorn I obtained. I found what I thought was a regular green Bejamina at Lowes however some of its branches have variegated leaves that are neon splashes on dark green. I thought it was just a white/green bejamina with immature leaves or just simply reverting..... but I own both of those plants as well and this variegation is flipped inside out? I found another person on Facebook that has the same variegation but he wasn't able to find a name for this variant either. Have you seen or heard of this type before?
