  • I have to admit to not often even being up and about at this time of day on a Sunday, but here we were, around 08.00 AM on a dry autumn morning and the Trident was clean and ready to go, the roads should be quiet - so I decided to go for it and get this ride in and get a change of scenery for a change!

The sound when you opened it up getting past that lorry.....😍
It's also amazing how you can always remember exactly where and when you came off a bike like you obviously did on that ride
Struck a chord with me as there's a tight bend before a humpy bridge a few miles from me where i came off my Bonneville in 1987 on some river silt that had washed across the road- boom instantly on my arse...
I travel that section of road every day when I'm riding to work and every time I come up to it i get flashbacks....

That key ring jangling about would do my head in😆, you’re now addicted to the noise of those pipes and the torque of the engine. 👍

With a howl, the truck became a distant memory...

My Buddy bought a Rickman Trident in the early 70s from the factory in England. His wife has it now after he passed. Really cool bikes

Another excellent video, seeing your key fob jingling about it reminded me of mine on a BMW R100.
I kept it still by using a self adhesive disk of velcro to attach it to the headlamp bracket.
    No more chipped paint.
    Keep up the good work.

G'day Paul, not as much traffic that ride, bikes running well and sound great, l came of a Honda CB 750 at 70mph gravel on bend no injuries, hit a car at 20 mph on the same bike 5days in Hospital, keep upright and safe, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.

I would say that’s pretty much “ Trident tested” now.

Excellent morning run!. You have that bike running like a swiss watch, a credit to you. Good road from talley down to the A40, those sweeping curves. You also made very short work of that road down through talley to llandeilo, a good display of ridership to any who might view the vid. A fair few miles were covered in 29min.

Great ride! I think the key fob is part of that motorcycle and it adds a certain something to these videos that would be missed if it wasn’t there….😊

I loved my Triumph Trident 750 t160. It was fast it was smooth it was modern until and I loved it until it holds two pistons and they got stolen by the Triumph shop that was doing the engine work along with six other guys fights on the midnight move

I guess the camera battery lasted exactly the right amount of time. It sounds like you're not planning to use the Trident as a petrol bowser this time, so more three-cylinder fun coming up soon?

Delightful, if comparatively restrained ride, apart from the bit on the A40. A vigorous autumnal run with the Thunderbolt on this route would also delight. How come the CB500 is nivver allowed out? Not enough fun? and no, I am not becoming a turncoat. 6 months or so on an XS650 in my late 20s soon had me back on to British bikes.

Hi Neil, the CB500T is also pretty much at the ready, but it is further from the door than some of the others!

Would a Bonneville 650 be noticeably slower on this run?

Depends on how it might be ridden, I was not pressing the Trident, though.
