Having everything self-contained and laying flat without a clip are the two major things that keep in my Cafe Note A6 instead of my passport tn, or any tn. I think I *want* to love a passport tn but in actuality, A6 is my true love size.
yes, totally get that! I struggle to say so not the cuteness factor of the passport. but trying it out as a journal to see how that goes. Right now i need a bit less fuss out of my planner and that bullet journal is always the answer it seems
@@lindseyscribbles Yes! Bullet journal is definitely best for my brain. And omni journal within my bullet journal works best for me with an index because then I only have to keep track of one notebook. I just switch up the covers if I feel like I need a "change".
I’m using an A6 Leuchtturm for my work bullet journal and I’m loving it. I’m think about using the same size for my personal journal. I love the ivory paper
You kind of had my mind 🤯 when you said that pocket notebook was a perfect size to fit in a shoebox if you want to keep them over time. Genius! I always dread how much space A5 would take up over time. Pocket are perfect!
I had the same experience with the passport TN: loved the aesthetics, loved the portability, loved the customization...but it not laying flat was a dealbreaker. It just added too much friction to my planning/journaling, and suddenly I wasn't writing as much as before, or I was annoyed when I did. Ugh. Still mourn that system tho, it was so gorgeous 😭 And if 4mm grid could become more popular, that'd be great hahah
I so love your honestly about switching the journals! I am also still looking for a suitable system. I love the compactness of the Pocket one, but Standard gives me more freedom. With the Pocket, I end up having additional notebook for daily lists, bit the Standatd is a bit too big to carry around. It is a torment 🤣🤣🤣🙈
i don’t do all these different spreads, i‘m pretty much using the original bullet journal method, because it’s very streamlined with no unnecessary fluff that can keep me from using it. not being able to use my bujo because i haven’t yet prepared the next monthly or weekly spreads was a huge obstacle for me in the past. adhd doesn’t let me do all those necessary preparations reliably and long term. but i recently switched from a5 to a6, but i use it horizontally. so i still have an a5 sized piece of paper in front of me. i also write very small, but i need to write a lot due to my issues with working memory, so i went through 40 pages within a week. this could be the dealbreaker for me, because i just don’t want to buy a new notebook every month. the leuchtturm a6 has 187 pages, the a5 has about 250 pages and i use two a6 for every a5 page. the added convenience and portability of the smaller book makes me write down even more things, which is great for keeping my stuff together, but bad for the life of the notebook… i‘m really not sure what i want to do in the future. i will definitely stay with the smaller format for several months, but it might be that i need to return to a5 after a while. i know that there are formats between those two but i haven’t found a notebook that ticks all the boxes in something like b6 yet. the requirements would be: numbered pages, two or more ribbon book marks, dot grid between 4 and 5 mm, hardcover, durable. maybe someone out there with some recommendations? ❤
I’m using pocket size moleskine for my work bujo and I’m loving the size, it’s just enough space for me. Got pocket sized leuchturm for my personal bu jo and I don’t love the paper, I find moleskine paper better for me. Thanks a lot for your videos, love seeing some new ideas from you 💕
The lay flat experience is why I decided to stay in the Hobonichi Weeks. I use the thin notebooks for collections and keep it all in a cover. I have a passport TN notebook that I carry to jot things down when I don’t want/need my planner with me. Looking at your spreads, I am tempted to try TN passport only for an upcoming vacation but not sure. In the meantime, I am just trying to embrace the imperfections.
I was wanting to try passport size. Then I measured up some paperblanks mini notebooks I have to find very similar dimensions. So I’m gonna try this out and join you in your pocket notebook planning.
I use my elastic as a pageholder kind of like the hobonichi ones in my TN's and find that helps, it's less cumbersome than the clip. I tend to put my clip at the top across the fold and find that helps too.
I love my Leuchtturm A5 bullet journal-but it gets heavy & awkward in my handbag. I just ordered the A6 one that you have-I love the smaller size-and I’m totally inspired by this video! 😃 love your channel❤️
You could cut down a Hobonichi Weeks notebook to tuck in the back pocket to keep year-long lists, collections, and reference info. That way you can fit 6 months at a time in a book and not have to constantly re-write them.
My heart took a happy little skip when you turned to your Stardew Valley pages. I've loved the game since it came out in 2016. Also, having learned of the Bullet Journal Pocket yesterday or so, I wonder if you've had a go at using it. :~)
I actually keep my a6 Leuchtturm in a passport plus size cover. I tried out a passport tn a while back and it didnt work for me and when your videos inspired me to try this a6 i just through it in there. It overhangs but ive been liking the clumsy/patchwork vibe that it has
Is there a notebook that would fit in the back pocket of the L1917 where you could house your annual/monthly information and yearly collections? And then use the L1917 pages for the weekly/daily logs?
I’m wondering if having the passport as a journal will help with the cravings? Also, could you cut down a passport insert to slip in the back of the A6 Leuchtturm for your yearly spreads? That way you can move freely from notebook to notebook. Always love your spreads!
Sort of hard to explain, but I feed the ribbons back into the gap between the signatures and the spine until they poke out the bottom on the notebook. Then I give them a good tug and pull them off that way. They appear to be glued onto the spine of the signatures. This is my first time doing it, so I can’t speak to if it’ll impact the overall longevity of the notebook. But so far so good
Love the video, as always! Do you still use your Cousin? I'd love to see a video on it, if you do and you're comfortable with it. A flip through, a setup... whatever, I just love the Cousin. lol
I could, i do love those notebooks. Right now I'm enjoying that the L1917 has an elastic closure. with the hobonichi's I baby them more and end up with more covers than I need.

I love your idea of a stack of the Pocket Notebooks in a box to look at later. This is a nice set up! You have motivated me.
Just throwing it out there. Wonderland 222 has an A6 daily notebook with a 4mm grid and Tomoe River Paper. I love your spreads. Keep 'em coming!

Friction is the right word for it! Yeah, i can get used to it. But when i don't have to it's so nice

thanks, Lauren!

definitely something to try
I need that Stardew Valley insert!

so far the passport journal has been scratching the itch! bonus the two notebooks stacked together looks really cute
omg i love this
Any tips for removing the bookmark ribbons? I don’t really use them either, but sometimes when I try to cut them out it looks messy.

I’m not currently using the cousin!
Hey Lindsay! Is there a reason you don’t want to use an A6 blank Hobo grid notebook?
I just started using one as a bullet journal and I LOVE it.
@@HannaChoe intriguing ! I have a cousin for work and I enjoy it - but thinking to go to A6 for next year 😏

@@amor_note I'm planning on getting the A6 Avec! This size is my new planner peace (for now lol).
@@HannaChoe I kinda want one 🫣 but then also really liking the idea of a pocket size TN/wallet 😍
My tragus piercing solved my migraine problem. Just saying 🖤
Do you have the Reddit link to where you got your Stardew Valley infographics? That looks so helpful versus a million browser tabs!
What printer do you have to print out bullet journal things
I have a old epson 440 series. My truck for good prints is to tell the printer I’m using matte photo paper
Hello Lindsey, could you pls check EMAIL DM?💌
