    - there was a big baking-related competition (cookies, cake decorating, gingerbread houses)
    - the not-a-jerk boyfriend that comes to town because he misses her
    - the misunderstanding that comes about 45-50 minutes into the 80-minute run-time (w/o commercials)

The daughter is an up and coming figure skater. Because, you know, these towns are always in a place of permafrost. Then the New York lady says that she was on her way to becoming champion but because of an injury trying to do an impossible move her dreams were dashed and she went to the city. New York lady, torn from the memories, utters “I shouldn’t have come back” and heads home. The daughter finds out that New York lady’s trophy is in the high school trophy cabinet and gets a whole new level of respect for her. Love interest uses “the power of inept widower” to get the New York lady to come back and train the daughter. Daughter enters competition and in a surprising turn of events nails the impossible move that the New York lady couldn’t do. The love interest, happy that New York lady has proved her usefulness kisses her on the ice and everyone is happy.

The only thing I've seen nuttier is when they go totally head over heels for each other after like one meeting. That happened in a British film from around World War II I saw not too long ago. This RAF pilot communicates with a female service member as he's trying to get back home, he bails out and survives and then by random chance actually encounters her on a road soon after. She's joyful to see him alive, but then he turns on his charm and by the end of this ONE encounter, they part with a huge kiss and begin dating. Perhaps it was some kind of propaganda the British filmmakers were doing (like "Our boys are SMOOOOOOOTH when they're not in combat"), but it was hilariously unrealistic. How can any normal person fall in love THAT quickly?

She's an accountant who was fired (right before Christmas!) because she's heartless in her business decisions. He teaches her how to bake treats that spread warmth to others. Her old boss happens into the shop that is now a huge success and sees the change in her and offers her old job back. She refuses, as the bakery is now the job that fulfills her. Then she can relate to the children because she’s a woman-child herself and she teaches the kids to have fun and let’s the Dad loosen up. The NY fiance surprises her by showing up early one Sat. morning only to find her cooking breakfast for 2 & Old High School crush coming out of her bedroom wearing a pair of pajama pants and her bathrobe. NY storms off & she can't catch him. (Notice how she doesn't try to call him.) What happened was Old School came over to shovel her car out of The Snow & got dirty. She has his clothes in the wash & is making breakfast for him because it's all her fault. He gives her a friendly pep talk hug that accidentally turns into a chaste kiss. He tells her the secret of how his angelic wife died & they spend the rest of the day buying beautiful gifts for all of the kids in the town hospital. One of the kids is so touched by his gift that he can walk again or comes out of a coma.

They haven't seen each other since prom when they showed up wearing the exact same outfit! She knows her business will finally take off if she could only find the right place to sell her christmas tree anvils. He is down in the dumps because no one likes his new online business idea called Sketchy. He's returning a wrench to the local garage when he passes by her store filled with christmas tree barbells. She's holding a red and green sledgehammer and sees him pass her storefront window with the wrench. She runs out and calls to him. He turns and they run to each other (wearing the same outfit) and they embrace with a loud clang. Fade. ( I think my wife and I will call it quits here. Time of death- 8:45)

Add in that mysterious old(ish) man (played by some previously famous actor who about 10% of the audience will recognize from "somewhere" but probably get it wrong) who pops up at just the right moment with just the right words, actions, or items to plot device the "plot" in the "right" direction. And then "mysteriously" vanishes with a telltale sound effect while the main cast is distracted for like ten minutes. Include "knowing" camera movements that strongly suggest, but do not confirm, that said mysterious old(ish) man was actually Santa Claus. For added diversity or inclusivity points, replace the mysterious old(ish) man with pretty much any other trope, but lampshade it even harder.

“Gingerbread House For Christmas” (that might actually be a real title) - Two divorced single parents both with two kids (ahem - two children we know playing dual roles! 😁), have their hands full with family and careers but their kids want to go to Disney and that happens to be the prize for a local Gingerbread House contest (or Christmas cookies) - each set of kids enters it and the parents are forced to help out. The dad is a high powered realtor and the mom runs a cleaning service - they’ve run into each other before thru work and their kids school but it’s always been antagonistic through innocent misunderstandings. They keep running into each other at the gingerbread house pre-competition workshop and the grocery store for supplies. This is too long and too complex, but basically they hate each other until they have to help each other for their kid’s sake and whoops - it’s icy and it’s snowing and it’s evening and someone’s car doesn’t start and there’s a warm fire inside. I have no idea what the problems are or how they get resolved but they end up, none of us would ever guess - getting engaged at Christmas. Sponsored by Disney. 😁. Apologies - This is way too long and so is no help to our heroes, Penn and Kim, attempting to create mini marshmallow hallmark classics like “A Christmas for Christmas”. 😁🤣

As soon as I saw the title of the movie, A Christmas for Christmas, I mashed that LIKE button. My wife is addicted to this crap. Every script is the same. Just different locale and character names.
You forgot the most important plotline of EVERY Hallmark movie: She works for a huge real estate conglomerate. The company is considering buying a quaint village inn in the town. She is there to close deal and advance her career. She falls in love. She loves the village inn. She agrees to stay, married to him, to save and run the inn.
    Script (15 minutes before end):
Him: Wait! You actually came here to buy the inn, bulldoze it, and build a 27-hole PGA/LPGA Championship golf course, surrounded by $1 million dollar condos?
    (he exits)
Short time later, they meet again.
Her: Yes, I was buying the inn to bulldoze it, and build a 27-hole PGA/LPGA Championship golf course, surrounded by $1 million dollar condos.. But then I found something more valuable than money.
( they look longing into each other's eyes. They kiss.)
    (END SCENE)
    Concerning you next Hallmark parody:
He and she work in competing businesses (usually a bakery). A baking competition is announced, and they both enter. Do I really need to finish this? You know where this goes.
I bookmarked this for my wife. She WILL watch this. Yes, she will.

HCG cries on her bff/ comic relief's shoulder. Bff volunteers to help, but she's cutely accident prone. HLI wins. He's just about to be crowned when judge Myrtle Sayers notices one judge has 2 pieces of paper under one foot. They're votes for HCG that must've fallen on the floor. Everyone cheers & HCG starts to faint. Hot Love Interest catches her, asking her to marry him. She says yes. Chaste kiss. Everyone cheers louder and suddenly HCG is no longer sick.

What about all those movies about the Christmas obsessed person and the scrooge who has inner demons about the holidays but is won over, falls in love and it ends with “let’s make every day of the rest of our lives like Christmas!”
    OR
The baking/cooking chef/baker/entrepreneur who is down on their luck, enters a competition to create the best (insert whatever it is they do here) despite the odds being against them. The love interest is completely overlooked, wants to declare their love but doesn’t and instead is always there to bail out the entrepreneur. By some ‘incredible’ turn of events the entrepreneur wins the competition so they can realize their dream and all of a sudden they realize they are in love. “Wow! I can really have it all!”
