I’m an English teacher in Vietnam and most of my students speaks very robotic like as a result of textbooks and Vietnamese teachers. I try to jazz it up a bit but it’s sometimes very difficult. Your videos are funny and inspire me to help my students to speak more like a native speaker....thanks mate 👍🏼

I'm 63 years old and I'm French. Did you take classes at the French National Film School in St Denis "Louis Lumière"? If you could elaborate a little and give me some explanations about this "French", it would be very much appreciated.

We practiced spoken dialogue at school. We read books n comics . Astérix n Obélix . When it was clear n not ambiguous, we learned by pictures, rather than spoken word. Yes, this sounds like normal spoken English.

Hi teacher! Would you be so kind as to help me improve my British accent? Am I likely to get some on line tutoring from you? I've been teaching English Grammar for more than 26 years now and I'm a real grammar geek, yet I'd like to improve my accent as well, since I'm crazy for British accent. Maybe we can study together and I'm sure I've got a lot to learn from you. Through small conversations, readings or tips, I might as well speak like a native British, and I'm quite determined. What do you recommend?

Hi, Gideon! Your lessons are great! I'd like to know, what does "stay mellow" exactly means? Is it "bye" or "keep calm" or anything else? Pray, answer!

I like your attitude . 💡wonder how far it would get me understood if I kept on replying a single word , with perhaps different intonation (s) .

This issue of formal x informal is interesting not to say tricky: a long time ago, I worked as a simultaneous translator for some Scotch people and Londoners. While I was translating a negotiation in a business context, I managed to show competence. But then, after work, they invited me to a restaurant. That's when my difficulties started: I couldn't follow them.

Scottish, not Scotch. Scotch is a drink.
