Instant thumbs up! Nothing like a Friday morning with a Hammer video. Very nice comparison. My old Smith and Wesson Shield was my EDC before I became a member of the Croation brotherhood of the XD.
I've got them both and, after over a year of using them, I still can't choose between them. Fit, comfort, shootability, and my ability to shoot them, all pretty much equal. So I keep them both.
I carry the Shield Plus usually with the13 rd mag. But since getting a 15 rd mag, it's my favorite mag. The extra length is great and very comfortable, and actually conceals better than the 13 rounder.
Yes, you can mount lights on the IWI Masada Slim, as it is designed to be "optics ready" which means you can directly mount mini red dot sights or other small optics like a light onto the slide using an appropriate adapter plate, depending on the specific light model you choose; most commonly utilizing the RMSc (Romeo Zero Compact) footprint for mounting options. Key points to remember: Slide cut: The Masada Slim has a dedicated slide cut specifically designed for mounting optics and lights. Adapter plates: To mount a light, you will need an adapter plate that matches the light's footprint to fit the slide cut. Popular light options: Many mini lights from brands like Streamlight, Surefire, and Crimson Trace can be mounted on the Masada Slim with the correct adapter plate. Do your homework.
I swear by the Magguts +3 extension kit for the OEM 10 round magazine. It adds a pinky extensuon but doesnt increase the rear height and is shorter than the OEM 13 round magazine while still offering a three finger grip. 100% reliable with a variety of ammunition.
I like a thumb safety. But the S and W thumb safety is too easy to miss under pressure. If there is a after market thumb safety that's more accessible when under pressure I would buy it. That being said for now I'll stick to the p938 and p365x or my CZ double action single action

I love my masada slim. I've been eyeing the shield plus. Thanks for the video.
Love your table top reviews! Keep em coming my friend!

Any chance of an update with your usual excellent trigger demonstration? 👍
Great comparison. Thanks. 👍

These two are very similar, especially when the 13 round mag is in the Shield.
I'll keep my M&P Shield+ thanks. Good Video.
Nobody ask
Would you be able to do a comparison with the walther pdp f vs the cz p10s
@@spacedaddycereal73 I will add it to my list!
Love my IWI Masada and Masada Slim Thousands of rounds and NEVER misfired.

I think he's referring to the lack of an accessory rail in front of the trigger guard
Smith & Wesson all day
Im waiting on a double stack micro .45 ACP ..... if S&W can do a shield plus in 45 than ill buy..
Parts for that IWI in 20 years? Seems like the Smith will be longer lasting.
@@rtz549 IWI has been around since 1933, so I am sure they will still be around in 20 years
👍
in .30sc the s&w mags are 13 flush and 16 rds, and weighs even less
You reviewed a gun that you cannot find to buy anywhere. 😂
@@Steelcurtain75 Have you looked online? I see them everywhere.
@ Out of stock everywhere. Where do you see availability.
I would prefer the S&W if it had a true three finger grip. < three finger grip with a flush fit magazine is a deal breaker with me.
There's always low profile pinky extensions

the Pearce pinky extension for the Shield 10 rounders is great. Gives you just enough but the back half of the grip is still the same.
Are IWI’s generally good? I don’t trust them very much 😂
IWI weapons are built like tanks. Extremely reliable and well built. They supply the Israeli military, and the Israeli military doesn't mess around.
@ makes sense, especially when they keep getting billions
