My boyfriends mars is virgo at 5 degrees and his saturn is aries at 1 degree. I think we have a lot of easy aspects that take away from us both doing a double whammy because i dont feel this at much of any extent, earlier in the relationship we had a few disagreements but none of us are the type of people to impose our views or lifestyles on the other, especially because we care for eachothers views and individuality. I've found that when there's a double whammy with Saturn square Mars and Mars square Pluto in synastry...it brings balance and understanding to a relationship. Quite a nice aspect (when it goes both ways) for long term relationships so it would seem. What do you think?
I can't agree. It may have worked well for you because it fills some empty leg of a square or t square pattern. Typically, those planets in square are hard to negotiate in synastry.

Those are trine signs, it isn’t a real square. Don’t worry about it. The styles won’t clash.
