If I were you don't go to Manila, It is much cheaper in Dumaguete and nice too. You can't get that ambiance, peace and order, nature, mountains, beach in one area and in short distance. Plus you are close to your family. You have a nice university in Dumaguete which is Siliman University. It is a prime school as well. However, if you are look a specific program to take in college, you might have to look around in Cebu, Davao or in Manila. Visayas Universities have lots great schools. They are competitive as well and they excel when comes to board exams. Lots of topnotchers came from Visayas and Mindanao. Good luck to you and your family ! Always stay positive..

I remember when my brother lived in Seoul for 9 years and my brother also had a hard time adjusting to the climate/food and culture during his first year in Korea. anyways that's exactly how a foreigner will feel when they live in another country, not just in PH. well just enjoy and sooner or later you will be able to adjust in the long run. remember there are many Koreans living in PH as well as Korean TH-camrs based in PH. i hope one day you can collaborate with them too.
