I am native American I come from some of the most fierce warriors that ever lived. We fought against the US.that had cannons and repeating rifles with lances and bow and arrows and we were greatly out numbered. I think the hussars are magnificent and beautifully armed.I love the polish people for there freedom loving spirit.

The best cavalry Europe ever produced. My ancestors rode with King Sobieski at Vienna in 1683! In 1694 at the Battle of Hodów, 400 winged hussars stood up against the 40, 000 Crimean Tatars and defeated them. The Poles nicknamed the battle the ‘Polish Thermopylae’.
At Hodów there were 100 hussars and the main force were 300 pancerni cavalry. Let's not forget about them because they were like a workhorse of the polish-lithuania army but they are always in the shadow of fame of our winged hussars.

And that book they describe American soldier who stayed in Poland after the first war to help the Polish establish a Air Force. Young people are going abroad because in this country there's week future and I doubt it will change during my youth and later.
