Sometime ago, I started buying beat-up guitars online and then rebuilding them from scratch. I started doing paint jobs and repairs and it led to me building them completely from scratch. And it all started from teaching myself from various TH-cam videos and online videos and pretty much anything I can get my hands on. All trial and error. I built so many guitars that I actually went up donating a lot of them to a music school here in New York City for underprivileged kids. They weren't the greatest guitars but these kids have nothing so they were very appreciative of it. Anyway I've been doing it now for decades and my big break I guess you can call it was when someone bought a guitar mine and gifted it to a guitarist who happens to be in in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It was complete blind luck. But from that I went under getting so many calls and so much work. So don't knock the whole learning from TH-cam thing. I owe so much to it. Great job on the guitar by the way. Love it. Cheers.
Bro good job I'm all about customization and giving things your personal touch. I have the same guitar in black and will be upgrading the electronics sometime soon due to it making a bad humming noise that I haven't been able to fix. Watching your vid made me want to do something with the paint as well.
I purchased this same guitar, but with a red tortoise shell pick guard. Got it for $25 at a yard sale. It is stock and a guitarist friend of mine - put it through its paces and he gave it high marks. Love the guitar which I have named: "Blackie".

I am so happy I live in the TH-cam era! I’ve already got my next guitar project planned… so much fun!
