My dad was paraplegic from a motorcycle since I was four months old on our goat farm. When i was 12, he had a life threatening bone-infection and the docs amputated a leg in an experimental procedure that failed. When I first saw him in the hospital the day they cut his left leg off, he had a big sh!t-eating grin on his face waiting to drop his dad joke... "Today was a half off sale at the hospital... Usually they charge you an arm and a leg. This time, they just took the leg.." My dad died younger than shoulda in 2009 of Leukemia... but he would absolutely love this song and it ties everything: fear, pain, trauma, survival, and love and healing all swirled together... Great songwriting ties us distant specks of life experience together in an incidental web that makes us feel unique and universal all at once. This song epitomizes that.
I like everything about this song. The lyrics, the voice, the guitar and the arrangements, the video filmed on a bike and the three legged dog. It is such a graceful moment.
Absolutely love this. Can't wait for the album. I'm from England, but I've walked through Central Park lots, I recognise those paths. Brilliant. Love to the dog :)
@@steveherman6770 This whole album is the most original thing I've heard in the last two years. Only 7 songs but worth every minute. Time not wasted. So talented.

Sensational. I live for songs like this.
Beautiful message 💜
This track is regular play in Athens GA radio and I'm glad to have found it. I initially thought you were Jenny Lewis.
Obsessed with this song. Poignant and playful.

My friend Bill had a 3-legged dog with one eye and a crooked tail. The dog's name was Lucky.
Really lovely, very Jenny Lewis 🥰
this is the most beautiful song I’ve ever heard

Fantastic! How you are not more well known is beyond me
Being that my real name is Michaelangelo I’m always intrigued when my name comes up. I was expecting an Emmylou Harris cover. PLEASANTLY Surprised!!
i was thinking about me and my three paws dog walking in the streets of são paulo
Little Engines brought me here!
Beauty
GOD DAMN this is ember'd ds style
This song is so peaceful and charming. Too bad my pet Michelangelo is a cat, not a dog...
I'd like to pet the dog please.
Got a recommendation for "Hard Drive". Consequently, thought I would check this out.
Why do artists like you miss out? Criminal.
I love the wetness of her voice. She turns saliva into an art form. She turns her mouth into a reed.
It's a hard walk when you are trying to fit a new bikini on a three-legged dog. Keep working with what you've got!
Sounds like 'SURE AS SHIT' by Kathleen Edwards
