Is it me or is that interior the same has the chevys you can see the AC vents look similar to the silverados on the other sierras the AC vents are on the top of the center screen is that only a higher trim level thing ?

The only thing upgraded on this new model is engine which will help but all that tech you can forget about it. The body is still fiber glass composite, will rattle apart like mine is. Don't say I didn't warn you

I just got this truck today! To my surprise they installed the kicker sound system for the pro tail gate same day! Later on they will Install the heated seats chip and I'll be set. This truck it's well equipped I'm happy with my purchase

I just got my VIN on my order. It's been built! I have this exact trucking coming in a red Cayenne. New Elevation premium package with leather and adaptive cruise, sunroof, 3.0 diesel. I should have it before the end of next month at the latest.

THIS TRUCK IS JUST PERFECT!!! I have a 2017 elevation and always drive it and use for everything. But with this out now and especially with the 3.0l in it. OMG!! I really want to upgrade my truck to this or possibly buy it.
Beautiful truck. I have the 2019 GM Sierra elevation with the dark sky metallic. Love it, and really don't have any issues with it. Love the refresh, the front and new interior look slick. Probably it's too soon since I've only had it for a little over 2 years to get the refresh. Think I'll wait another year or so tell GM starts giving rebates as they are not for this first half.
Mines a 2020 Sierra Elevation with the same paint color. No problems here (26,000) miles on the 2.7T. The interior is tempting, but the purchase price is nearly $10-15k increase from what I paid mine. It's tempting, but not sure if its worth $200 more a month.
Great video! I love the look of the elevation the most of all the trims. One thing that blows my mind is that you get all this great technology, but no memory seats for a $60,000+ vehicle. I don’t know why, but that really bothers me when I see very nice vehicles skimp out on something fairly useful. I can’t stand readjusting my seat and mirrors after someone else drives.

I think the elevation trim is now my favorite trim. I also like the AT4 but for the price this will probably be the truck I will go with with. Also gotta have that 3.0 duramax
@@TheTexan99 people just like having diesels. I live in Utah, so when the fuel prices aren't all messed up, it seems like diesel is usually cheaper here than premium and the 6.2 requires premium. The 5.3 even recommends at least 87 which is mid here.
This video alone got me to order a Sierra over the F-150 and Silverado. Such a good looking truck! Had a really hard time deciding between a blacked out version or red. Ultimately went with the cardinal red! Now I just have to wait for my dealership to be able to order it!

Why is the volume knob below the screen on this model, but for the AT4 and Denali it’s smack dab in the middle of the left side of the screen? I much prefer this placement
Wow, I own a 21 Elevation and this one is a huge step up and looks awesome. The only thing I like about my truck over this one is that I have a column shifter kinda sad to see that leave for the new refresh but I think everything else makes up for it
I went from a 19 terrain to a 22 limited elevation. I actually miss the push button transmission. I feel it was a step in the right direction as far as advancing technology. I feel the column shifter is outdated and personally, I’m not a fan of the stick in the center console or paddle shifters.

Excellent overview. I own this truck. Love the diesel with the 10 speed transmission in the Elevation package. I have 25,000 miles on my truck and it is running flawlessly. 👍
Just took delivery of a 22 limited and have no regrets. This truck is beautiful but I don’t need all the screens. A good update none the less, just not my thing.
So glad I got mine in 2020. When I heard they were getting rid of the column shifter and going with a turkey leg in the center console instead, I knew I had to hurry and get a truck before GMC made the truck a bit less utilitarian. So glad I can see my phone while it’s charging and so glad I have a clear and open console space. These new changes are not an upgrade, you pay more for less now. 2020 GMC Sierra at4 6.2l with every option available and still $6,400 less than this 2022 elevation.
I ordered this exact truck two weeks ago. I got an email from GM a week later that said your order has been accepted for production. Now that I've seen it here, and how good it looks, I'm just going to say the waiting is the hardest part. Hope I get it before the summer is over.

Initially I wanted an Elevation. But the SLT is only $1k more and you get cooled seats (necessary in the south imo) hated rear seats, power folding mirrors, power front passenger seat etc fully loaded. Its a better deal imo. If only it didn't have chrome.
Does it have the “auto hold” where when you come to a complete stop you can take your foot off the brake and the vehicle remains stopped until you actually press the gas pedal?
Correction. The Tundra has a wide horizontal display that sticks up higher to keep your heads up better than the GMC. You were correct in that the Ram screen is more vertical.
What is decontented from the refreshed GMC Sierra SLT you can't get the tech pgk ( HUD ) camper mirrors, the outside lock unlock buttons have been removed Except on the drivers door handle. I have all those items on my 2021 SLT which is stuffed

I noticed on the windows sticker it says LED tail lights, in the video they look it be incandescent? Are the LED turn signals, brake lights and reverse lights in the elevation?
I got a 21 SLT. with what prices are these days this is a great deal. I see Elevations that are borderline base trim. This is a solid compromise from an slt or Denali if you can't afford 90k
Mostly failiure to start/long crank. So the engines would time out on their cranking and not start. The forums reported that a fix is available that dealers install that have appeared to fix them. A few have also reported DEF tank indication that hampers engine performance.
I’ve asked several youtube owners. They say no traditional round 12v/cig lighter in the nee trucks. Either an adaptor or if your inclined wire up a dedicated one. But mounting in a factory looking spot could be a challenge 🤷🏼♂️
@@4961Studebaker thanks for the info. Seems like a strange omission for a truck. The one thing trucks always had was plenty of power options. 12V, 120V, USB ports. Seems like this refresh got rid of some of it. Between no 12V and only having the two USB ports for the back seat.

I put down a $1,000 an AT4 at the biggest dealers in Missouri a week and a half ago so now with a 2 week shutdown I’m wondering how long it’ll be to get it.
Called a dealer to order and they straight up told me they will charge 10 k over MSRP. They tried to justify that everything is going up even gas. I laughed and said nope.
when i speced out my at4 there was a notice on the spec sheet saying it may not come with heated steering wheel right way but will be fitted at a later date... was GM able to send this out fitted with the heated steering wheel or just the dead button for the time being?
Dead button for now. Dealer should call or you can call periodically to check on chip package. If you ordered the tech package. The park assist chips were left out on early refreshed 2022’s as well. Automatic start stop I believe was also.

Who else things it’s weird that Chevy and GMC decided to swap the locations of the buttons and the HVAC controls? I personally like the GMC location more than the Chevy. I just think it’s odd they aren’t in the same place.

Hi Brian, awesome video I am new in your channel and subscribe already 👍🏼 I have a question that big truck community have but not many people have been able to answer, I hope you can help, now the single cab regular bed is available in the US after being discontinued since 2019, but unfortunately it is only available in work truck trim with only 2.7L as an option, Do you know if soon will be available with the 5.3L and have this interior as an option since in the 2.7L have only the previous gen interior, I know if you do a video talking about that if will help a lot of people since that trim is available for other countries. I can tell you you're not getting this interior trim level inside in a work truck isn't a no. It will be smaller screen and column shifter. You can't get this trim level until you bump up to like an slt trim level. They have so many trim levels & this interior doesn't kick in until you bump up a few trim levels. That was as of 2022 don't know what will happen next year might become a little more standard not sure?

You can get the elevation for low 50s in Texas just seen like 20 for 50-54k
Looks really nice. It is probably my favourite interior and I think they pulled off the big grill much better than the Tundra

The gasser pulls just as much 🤷♂️ the price of fuel is not worth it in this truck

Any idea whether GM will port some of these design ideas into the Yukon Denali?
I got a 21 SLT. with what prices are these days this is a great deal. I see Elevations that are borderline base trim. This is a solid compromise from an slt or Denali if you can't afford 90k
Does the elevation have dual power front seats or is it only driver side?
this thing is absolutely beautiful what is the Towing Capacity it can take ?

Can you get the same black on black in the denali trim with the 6.2L engine?
How much out the door? Any reviews on the 3.0 Dmax engine? Since it's a newer engine, reliable?
Definitely nice. I hope they’ve solved the Diesel engine problems they’ve had with the 20-21 models.
What problems?
Mostly failiure to start/long crank. So the engines would time out on their cranking and not start. The forums reported that a fix is available that dealers install that have appeared to fix them. A few have also reported DEF tank indication that hampers engine performance.
Can you tell me the difference between the new 2022 Sierra Elevation and SLT?
Have they updated the Blows stereo with more speakers and fidelity?
I love my 22’ - Not as fancy as this, but same powertrain.
So does this have the “black out package” or all black sierras look like this?
Do the refreshed trucks not have a 12V outlet anywhere? Can't see to find any in the videos or pictures I've seen.
I’ve asked several youtube owners. They say no traditional round 12v/cig lighter in the nee trucks. Either an adaptor or if your inclined wire up a dedicated one. But mounting in a factory looking spot could be a challenge 🤷🏼♂️
@@4961Studebaker thanks for the info. Seems like a strange omission for a truck. The one thing trucks always had was plenty of power options. 12V, 120V, USB ports. Seems like this refresh got rid of some of it. Between no 12V and only having the two USB ports for the back seat.

What is the payload? Previous version gave about a 1870 on specs but I could never find one even close.
I’ve seen the new elevation’s with the off road pack missing the sound deadening carpet in the rear wheel arches why is that?
Odd but cool how an elevation started out as a low end SLE but now is about on par with an SLT.
I can't wait to get my mitts on one of these!!

Man. This is soooo much better. I do think the Rams have the best interior, but they’ve done a great job with this.

Why are the start buttons different from the more expensive trims?
I put down a $1,000 an AT4 at the biggest dealers in Missouri a week and a half ago so now with a 2 week shutdown I’m wondering how long it’ll be to get it.
Called a dealer to order and they straight up told me they will charge 10 k over MSRP. They tried to justify that everything is going up even gas. I laughed and said nope.
when i speced out my at4 there was a notice on the spec sheet saying it may not come with heated steering wheel right way but will be fitted at a later date... was GM able to send this out fitted with the heated steering wheel or just the dead button for the time being?
Dead button for now. Dealer should call or you can call periodically to check on chip package. If you ordered the tech package. The park assist chips were left out on early refreshed 2022’s as well. Automatic start stop I believe was also.
@@4961Studebaker gotcha. so excited to take delivery but really sucks im getting an unfinished car. they can keep the auto start stop but if it doesn't heat up soon in PA ill be begging for my heated wheel chip haha
Who else things it’s weird that Chevy and GMC decided to swap the locations of the buttons and the HVAC controls? I personally like the GMC location more than the Chevy. I just think it’s odd they aren’t in the same place.
It's only on the AT4 and up trims. It's the same on lower GMC models as all Chevys
Beautiful truck. Like that front end. Equipped about how I would like except I need the 6-1/2 ft bed. And probably not diesel. But $61K for a retiree is a little steep!

I have a question that big truck community have but not many people have been able to answer, I hope you can help, now the single cab regular bed is available in the US after being discontinued since 2019, but unfortunately it is only available in work truck trim with only 2.7L as an option, Do you know if soon will be available with the 5.3L and have this interior as an option since in the 2.7L have only the previous gen interior, I know if you do a video talking about that if will help a lot of people since that trim is available for other countries.

I can tell you you're not getting this interior trim level inside in a work truck isn't a no. It will be smaller screen and column shifter. You can't get this trim level until you bump up to like an slt trim level. They have so many trim levels & this interior doesn't kick in until you bump up a few trim levels. That was as of 2022 don't know what will happen next year might become a little more standard not sure?
