This one is particularly wonderful. Your towns and cities with more pedestrianized streets are what seduce my American eyes the most(one reason I enjoy Rye). We just don’t have that here. Norwich looks gorgeous, and you’ve captured its delights! Thank you for all of your work.
…oh, and I do have a request(aside from Rye). A beautiful market town called Stamford in Lincolnshire. Was one of our favorites back in 2014. I realize it may be awhile before you get back up that way again, so am just putting it on the radar. Maybe you could go on up to Beverley and make a weekend of it at some point. Thanks so much.
My home City. I've lived there all my life, and I'm pretty proud of it. Plus, you're only half an hour drive to the Broads and another 30 mins to Norfolks' beautiful coast.
Norwich is definitely a very nice city in Norfolk and has a lot of interesting stores, pubs, restaurants, theaters and other businesses in the center of the city and really is a very busy place, they also have beautiful buildings, awesome outdoor vendors, the old churches, I've also been looking at these areas here on Google Earth Maps Street View and it is really beautiful there near the North Sea, another great tour until next time Thank You.👋🇬🇧
Am from the northeast moved to Norwich in 1987 the first thing I noticed how flat it was and every where you go you see a church very peaceful chilling place x
I live in Norwich and this video really put our fine city in a good light. There is so much going for it from our market to the Lanes and the cathedral area. At 2:41 the only pub in Norwich with 2 names. The Gardeners Arms or The Murderers it's more commonly known as The Murderers though.
It was my home town growing up and you did a great tour. I love how you focus on the architecture and look at a street from both directions and up to the rooftops. It was a lovely city in the 70s with more quality department stores and unique shops. Thank you 🙏🏻.
After watching these tour videos, something nice happens to my perception of my house and everything just seems cosier and has a nicer aura, the same thing happened after watching the Ipswich tour which is how I recognise the feeling. I've lived in both of those places, so that might have something to do with it. Can anyone relate to this? Anyway, nice film, I love Norwich, was brought up there, i think I'd like to go back.
You seem fixated on Elm Hill and could have spent time walking around Black Friars and St Andrews Hall instead. Also there are many historic buildings within the Cathedral grounds, especially the gorgeous Pulls Ferry. The small chapel in front of the Cathedral is part of Norwich School and where England’s greatest naval hero Horatio Nelson and Norfolk’s most famous son attended. Anyway a lovely walk around just a “small” part of historic Norwich. Thanks
I actually worked on a film that used Elm hill and covered the street in fake snow and made it looked very winter , like something out of a Charles Dickens novel
The problem with The Royal.Arcade now is that most of the shops are of the, "if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it," type. Better than it being empty, but I preferred it when the shops were less esoteric.
The Arcade used to be full of wonderful shops in the 60s and 70s a bit confectionery shop that had the most extravagant chocs and sugar confectioneries..a great toy shop called Langleys and a posh shop that ladies used to buy their posh frocks and furs from..now all gone and they used to have lanterns hanging through the arcade in wintertime it was very dickensian but now its just a shadow of what it once was.

Would that film have Forest Whitaker in it and called Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey?
@@neilbowers6956 Yes thats the one
Great video as usual Neil we were there in May xx
Loving your Norfolk videos. Have you thought about filming around Suffolk, there are some lovely villages and towns there too.

Nice castle and market the road heading towards the city centre from the train station can get a bit aggro. Prince/Prince's something?
Prince of Wales road..lots of nightlife...and as you say aggro..always has been.
The film was called Jingle Jangle

So much scaffolding about the city at the moment....😢
