It's so interesting to watch you talk about this versus say Eric Cogorno and what he says is the correct lower body movement in the down swing. Neither of them are wrong, they are just different.
I have this problem,,,,, and hopefully this will help! I’d give anything to come spend some time with you and get some help. But it’s a long ways from Florida, and it won’t be long and to cold in the NE!
i've been through your video library and not found what I'm looking for I'm curious if you have run into this with some of your older clients. As I've aged I just don't have the ability to get my left shoulder anywhere near my chin for a full turn. still playing great golf, but are there any pitfalls I need to be looking for in my swing as my ability to generate a full-time diminishes? I'm still doing physical therapy for my back several days a week on my own including yoga to hold off the aging! Thanks for your great channel. essentially I'm just learning to live with a much shorter turn and a lower flighted ball playing one or two extra clubs than I did five years ago.
What would you suggest on doing… during my iron swings I’m able to stay in my follow through until the ball lands. With anything other than irons/ wedges (Driver, wood, hybrid), I can’t transition on the left leg (right hand swing) and tend to push my left leg WAY too much to where I literally jump out of my swing/address position (like Kyle Berkshire w/o… well… everything). It’s very excessive. I can’t stay in my follow through and I snap hook excessively as well. What drills do you recommend? I’m at a loss…
hopefully these guys respond to you. But without looking at what you're doing it could be over active wrists which shuts the fact at impact. That could be from having the face wide open prior to impact or stalling rotation and using your hands and wrists to turn the club face shut to prevent a slice intead of using body rotation to square the club. OR it could be an over the top swing path with closed face relative to path. For me, I come in from the inside but have the bad habit of lacking proper rotation so my hands tend to get a little too active.
Unfortunately, when you put the ball back in your stance, it only increases the chance that you hit a hook… anything behind the center of your stance is a more in to out swing path, so even though the face might feel like it’s going to be more right of the target, it doesn’t matter…it is going to be more closed to the path, often times, causing a hook. If you put the ball forward, the face will be more open to the path and the path will be more left for a right handed golfer, causing a fade. Often times, when the ball is back, the player knows they need to flip the club face in order to square it to the target and the hook increases. Put the ball forward and be forced to swing the handle through impact more to stabilize the club face and not be forced to flip it.
The best teaching golf pro ever again❤

@@jeangrey5808 not bad
can anything in the downswing cause a pull shot?
Can you please make one for hooks? I open the face, stand farther away, place the ball further back. Anything I try I still hook a bit.

It could also be that you're not separating your hips from your torso and are spinning out
