Everything is presented with such brilliant taste and rich tone!
I love Corporon's straight forward conducting approach.
Everything is so clear. Also, fantastic recording technicians!
This is now my reference recording of the Holst 1st Suite.
i am playing this for my concert and i am so excited for my tuba solo :)
It’s not a solo it’s a duet
My high school symphonic band is playing this (I’m in it I’m bass clarinet) but we are only playing chaconne and March, not intermezzo, because we are also playing ignition by Todd Stalter and Havendance, but I love this piece so much
Omg I did suite and Havendance last year!!!
I did only Chaccone and March as well because we played about 5 other songs
Just a pleasure. For all who did their time in wind symphony, this is one of those classics that just stands the test of time. And I don't believe I've met any that don't fondly remember playing it.
Randall could you please post your recording of your group playing the Holst First so that I can be further enlightened?
One of my favorites! Great job!
played the first movement in my band, an absolute to joy to play
Dr Corporon and musicians, this was a masterclass in balance and blend within each section as well as within the entire ensemble. Dr. C I appreciate your interpretation of this score a great deal. So many aspects of this performance have your artistic touch. The overall musicality, technical precision, musicianship, control and tasteful percussion, makes this one of the best performances of this piece that I have heard. Thank You and Best Wishes.
Nice work, other than where are the cornets?
7:35
In this symfonic orchestra no cornets -a shame-too big low section -clarinets good but high part (more piccolo)too week
Balance not good-overall too big -Some variations more intemate
Much better than TUSAB led by some guy from Arizona!
I've said it more than once, but again it's worth saying. I watch UNT music videos not only because of the amazing standard of performance, but because the presentation of said performance is world class. Great audio and video production 👏
They are amazing! It's hard to believe they are a college ensemble. They have a professional sound.
Besides the lack of cornets😥
The balance in this band is fantastic.
I love this piece so much (especially the last movement). So fun to play.
Marvelous!
👏🏼
Bravo
Amazing! Greetings to everyone who appreciate this wonderful music! Great Band!
