Around 1750 AD st the peak of the last cold period we reached a CO2 low of 180ppm. Ice core data. However photosynthesis stops below at 150ppm. Failure of plants to grow would create the worst ever global mass extinction. We got extremely lucky.
CO2 naturally increased as the climate warmed. Then after 1950 we’ve had a significant upturn in CO2. It’s now 400ppm. BUT actual warming has not moved any faster than it always does at this part of the cold/ warm cycle. The extra CO2 is greening the planet. Plants are happier and they grow faster.
