Really excited for this!! The idea of an interactive adventure sounds like so much fun. The wait times are going to be ridiculous though haha. I wonder how they're going to balance the interactive features with the crowds. Looks amazing though! Can't wait to experience it.
Looks top notch. I am genuinely impressed by the level of artistry they're pooring into it. It's a great idea they make it into an original spaceport town set in the SW universe and didnt go the easy way and make it like a big collage of familiar SW locations (like Death Star section, Tatooine section, etc.) This makes it more immersive and original. Hopefully they can really build this land into something that has its own vibe and history, of course still with references to the events and characters of the movies, but in a natural way.
Add Laser tag The top people of each teams get credits this means shorter lines and crowds having fun together because of groups and also realistic interactive fun and add little robots or things we can shoot besides our blasters on the battle field

I'm very excited about SW land but I don't understand why there aren't more environments we know from the films like Hoth, Endor, the Death Star etc. It's great that there are new environments but I would think we would have places we're familiar with - that we've been fantasizing about visiting for years - before exploring new ones.
Hollywood Studios already did that, on a much smaller scale--there are little bits of Endor and Tatooine around Star Tours. I'm wondering if those are going to go away now.
It would be nice if they kept that ride since this land is mostly influenced in the current trilogy so that there will still be some presence of the older 2 with that ride
That was what I was thinking: the existing Star Wars stuff, even the temporary filler attractions like Launch Bay, all reference familiar images from the movies, and people obviously want to see that--it'd be a pity if all that goes away just so they can maintain kayfabe for their new immersive land, though admittedly the idea of an original planet is more imaginative. If all this is their answer to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, keep in mind that the Wizarding World is recreating imagery from the existing movies with loving precision. I'd probably personally think it was super-cool if instead of doing that, they, say, realized some offstage part of Rowling's wizard-verse like Ilvermorny or Durmstrang to give themselves more space to play, but a lot of visitors would just be confused.
Mônica Santos Star Tours will be safe until 2019, as they are adding new planets from the Sequel trilogy every year. The two AT-ATs are part of the Battle Escape attraction inside of the show building and will be seen there! :)
This planet has been previously described as a major trading post prior to the development of hyperspace travel. Once hyperspace became available it was bypassed and became somewhat forgotten about. Corellia is a major ship manufacturer and definitely one of the most populated (and wealthy) planets in the Star Wars universe so I doubt that it would be there. Datooine is possible, given that most of us know it by name but have seen very little of it. However, I think it's going to be somewhere completely unknown to most of us... at least for now. Knowing Disney, there will probably be reference made to it in a future film to help market it. Kinda like you were saying about Corellia. I'm just happy that the official Disney video of the model is calling this Star Wars "Inspired" Land. This tells me that it won't be called Star Wars Land as some of us have been dreading.
No. Its a spot in the outer rim that used to be a bustling space sport. Once Hyper travel got extremely popular it stopped being a large space port and is now for the most part forgotten. And since its a "off the beaten path" space port, its now a great place for people "who do not want to be found"
Once they see the popularity of this, hopefully they build a whole Star Wars park. I want ships being worked on, on top buildings, with sparks and welders. I want a giant wrecked Star Destroyer as part of the landscape. Giant battles between troopers and rebels going on all day. Old school trilogy lands, along with newer movie lands. Disney, recruit me to help with ideas... :P
Um, Animal Kingdom? Epcot? Magic Kingdom? Of course they would build an all "anything" park if it will be massively popular. Disney has never owned an IP as popular as Star Wars, they purchased it because it was already more popular than all of their other IP's combined. Thanks for your "expert" advise anyway, but I take it with a boulder of salt... LOL
I'm not really a Star Wars fan. I haven't even seen a full Star Wars movie. But, this new land looks very fun and interactive. I'm excited about the fact that if your good or evil, it has consequences or rewards.
It looks amazing but then I think about the mass of people that will be overwhelming that place it sounds less amazing and just plane awful. I love Disney and Disneyland but the crowds are so big now days.
When this "world" opens, maybe the rest of the park will be less crowded and we can enjoy our "old favorites" with shorter wait times. Of course with expanded land capacity, the expanded crowd capacity will most likely be increased as well.
Everything has a capacity limit--the fire code says so if nothing else. The Pandora land has been hitting theirs--sometimes it happens to entire theme parks and they have to turn people away.
Add Laser tag The top people of each teams get credits this means shorter lines and crowds having fun together because of groups and also realistic interactive fun and add little robots or things we can shoot besides our blasters on the battle field
johnnboy2000 I live in LA. So Disneyland/CaliAdventure will be a nightmare! It's already a nightmare because it's too small. At least in Florida you can just go to another park and you have space.
They already have an attraction at the front of Disneyland where they take all the money out of your wallet. It's an immersive experience where you really feel like you've just been robbed.
I can't wait to create my own Star Wars story here... I feel like when they reveal the name, it'll be like "[Insert planet name here]: A Star Wars Story"
does it really matter tho? There will still be droids, stormtroopers, rebel pilots, and other aliens around the whole area. It doesn't seem time-specific necessarily
Not really, I'm sure it will still be great. The redesigns are just kind of lame imo and I much prefer the Empire over the First Order. The fact that we probably wont see Darth Vader in this land due to the time frame is disappointing. Just my opinion.
Itd be cool if the "credits" were synced with an app that you can use to buy better weapons and armor. Then when you do other stuff in starwars land you can utilize the credits.
People disliked this video? Why? Why would people dislike something that gives happiness to people? What kind of weird fucker disliked something that makes everyone happy? *WHAT THE FUCK!*
Needs a scout walker Walking the outer perimeter to scale. Cannot see the feet because it is higher an unnaccesablle but cockpit turret scanning as it walks around the perimeter.
they wold paint themsleves into a corner if they based it off a particular planet from the movies. You really want the whole land to look like Endor or Tattooine?
The whole structure is Very interesting idea!! But I have some suggestions though... I guess I would like to see 1) some thin decorative "Bridges" with spacecrafts/vehicles come and go along the bridges. So they can transfer people and they can have a Top view of the park as well. 2) Too Many trees are hiding the best parts... Hey this is futuristic land.. so less trees are needed I guess... 3) The Spaceship doesn't seem at all. It should be placed on a tall structure above all buildings view. I would like to see more "sci-fi/Futuristic" structures. Not as an old "village" style park. 4) and Finally, I hope they use the latest "drones" technology, for some awesome flights of small-size spacescrafts. Just to please the eye and only for show... no people inside. well, What do you think? :-)
I don't like that both the lands will be similar. they said they had a lot on the shelves ready to go. I think they should've made two big and different lands. in Disney Land and world and that way. when traveling from Florida to Cali you can feel like the journey was worth it. across different worlds.
Add Laser tag The top people of each teams get credits this means shorter lines because of groups and also realistic interactive fun and add little robots or things we can shoot besides our blasters on the battle field
I feel you, but at the same time, I hate the feeling of missing out because for me, traveling to Florida to go to a theme park is a bit out of my budget.
Yeah, but he stumbled a few times. He's probly a real imagineer that was found to be articulate enough, and they trained him some. Cuz it's actually hard to be a good salesman, have that swift gift of gab, be smooth and friendly enough.
Hopefully if you bring a lightsaber or something people will react the same way as they did when the Jedi purge happened, maybe even telling some stormtrooper that they saw a Jedi or sith depending on your lightsaber
I love the idea of having a thruly interactive world whom you can walk around and interact with all the characters there. And where all youre choices have a meaning to the story youll experience. And that its also a lot of human actors playing part of the story - Not just droids or animatronic features. Cause being able to meet living and breathing characters from other species is what I liked most about the now defunkted "Star Trek: Experience" in Las Vegas. How could would it not be to walk around and see a Twilek dance in the cantina just to be interupted by a pair of knights of Ken asking around for wanted persons? Or to find youreself in a ongoing battle thats not set on a fixed time (Like a ride or theathre) but is happeing there and now - And whoms outcome is affected by the choices you and youre fellow park goers make? Then its not just another set of rides and experiences who is the same - Its an ever changing living world who is slightly different everyday regarding who is in it hand how they interact with the characters. Now that would be amazing, dont you think? Johan.

"Discovery Bay" was the brainchild of Imagineer Tony Baxter, with Tom Scherman, in 1975. It was a Victorian Seaport (described as "Steampunk" by today's standards) that would have docked the Columbia, with a Nautilus Submarine that would surface every 15 min, and the Hyperion blimp. The "Grand Salon" restaurant was based on the interior of the Nautilus, (on par with the NOS Blue Bayou). There was a maglev roller coaster, and the "Land Of Mythica" dark ride. Next to DB was Dumbo's Circus. DB was based on the mythology of Jason Chandler who built it from the riches of the Big Thunder Mines. Most of these ideas would become Discoveryland at Disneyland Paris.
I'm wondering how these "actions" change the park. I mean of course it would be pretty difficult to actually have staff of the area know exactly what you do and all but would there be like an announcement or a picture sent to specific areas? What happens if you have a bounty on your head? Will there be staff that dress up as bounty hunters and come after you or will it be as a attraction? Will many of the rides be in VR? So many questions that I have about this whole actions affect the park type of deal.
This next season of West World looks amazing.
The codename for the project was literally and actually Project: Delos.
Man this vid is getting me soooooo hype
Disney Lover That's kind of the point
Don't be a dick.
This is the first time in eternity that i actually want to go to disneyland :D
I JUST WANT TI TRAVEL IN TIME SO I CAN SEE IT
Congrats on getting this interview! Mr. Trowbridge offers up so much fascinating information in this video! Thank you for providing it to us!
I never had any reason to visit Disneyland/Disney World. Now I do.
Nice to see Scott getting someplace with his life!
We all want the best for Scott.
They had better sell blue milk.
They are!
Scott Trowbridge being involved with any project of this scale is a guarantee that it will be one of the most incredible things we've ever seen.
Really excited for this!! The idea of an interactive adventure sounds like so much fun. The wait times are going to be ridiculous though haha. I wonder how they're going to balance the interactive features with the crowds. Looks amazing though! Can't wait to experience it.
thank you for hard work building star wars land at disneyland resort in Anaheim and disney'Hollywood studios in Orlando Florida
Excellent video! Thank you! 😊😊😊
I will live there.
I'm getting serious Westworld vibes from the way he's talking about an interactive story.
Looks top notch. I am genuinely impressed by the level of artistry they're pooring into it. Thanks Scott, for some spectacular, hype-building insights of what's to come for SW Land!

Can't wait to see this very excited. But only 2 rides the lines are going to be crazy. Need more than 2 rides.
That's hella huge! I cannot wait:) I was in Disneyland a few days ago actually and left on Thursday. Good thing cuz it is probably rly busy😂
I'm very excited about SW land but I don't understand why there aren't more environments we know from the films like Hoth, Endor, the Death Star etc. It's great that there are new environments but I would think we would have places we're familiar with - that we've been fantasizing about visiting for years - before exploring new ones.
Its supposed to be a sort of generic, any-planet in the universe, rather than one specific one. Better off this way.
So I hate to say this buddy but the Death Star was only a movie set, like a studio. Disney can manage a little Death Star themed set I think.
Hollywood Studios already did that, on a much smaller scale--there are little bits of Endor and Tatooine around Star Tours. I'm wondering if those are going to go away now.

I'm SO EXCITED!!!
Absolutely incredible
So excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So excited, but what will happen to Star Tours? And, from the construction photos I've seen there are 2 AT-AT walkers being built. Where are they?
Mônica Santos Star Tours will be safe until 2019, as they are adding new planets from the Sequel trilogy every year. The two AT-ATs are part of the Battle Escape attraction inside of the show building and will be seen there! :)
wow, that just shows how massive all those building will be. I will be sad if they let Star Tours go, though. Thanks!
Mônica Santos They will probably be inside the one of the rides.
Wow!!!! Wow! Wow! I can't wait!!!
it's gonna be so PACKED in there! If you make it inside, you'll be lucky to make it back out before the park closes! haha
Right, I suggest going there a couple years after it opens. The crowds will die down then.
I think that this land might be haunted because it's all full of shadow people.
Did he say in the video that you'll be able to buy beer in Star Wars land? Sweet!
Got a feeling that this might be Dantooine! He said that it's a planet that you may have heard about but not seen in the films
Dantooine is too remote to be a major trading hub. My first thought was Corellia.
TheGrumbleduke ...... could be a possibility since that's Han Solo's home world and might be seeing it next year
Dantooine also housed a remote Rebel base so it has that going for it !
And since its a "off the beaten path" space port, its now a great place for people "who do not want to be found"
Floridafanatic28 Dantooine is too remote to make an effective amusement park
Josiah Johnson Ok, that made me laugh.
Josiah Johnson "But don't worry, we'll make an attraction out of your rebel friends soon enough."
I can't wait!!!!
Omg the line of people for the millenium falcon!!!
What about stuff for prequel fans? :/
What about the droid attack on the wookies
Once they see the popularity of this, hopefully they build a whole Star Wars park. I want ships being worked on, on top buildings, with sparks and welders. I want a giant wrecked Star Destroyer as part of the landscape. Giant battles between troopers and rebels going on all day. Old school trilogy lands, along with newer movie lands. Disney, recruit me to help with ideas... :P
So it will be difficult to design and make? I wonder why all the other Disney Parks are so popular and profitable?
Um, Animal Kingdom? Epcot? Magic Kingdom? Of course they would build an all "anything" park if it will be massively popular. Disney has never owned an IP as popular as Star Wars, they purchased it because it was already more popular than all of their other IP's combined. PS,
Marvel is trash...
I'm not really a Star Wars fan. I haven't even seen a full Star Wars movie. But, this new land looks very fun and interactive. I'm excited about the fact that if your good or evil, it has consequences or rewards.
I'm way more interested in visiting Animal Kingdom's Avatar land than in seeing an Avatar movie.
Considering how detailed these lands are going to be, they better film in one of them for a future Star Wars movie.
I am a pass holder and it’s so sick
It looks so cool at Disney WORLD
It looks amazing but then I think about the mass of people that will be overwhelming that place it sounds less amazing and just plane awful. I love Disney and Disneyland but the crowds are so big now days.

a Star Wars adventure I can create on my own?! sounds fun!
That troop transport reminds me of the car at test track which makes me think...which would be awesome, also a spiderman type ride would be cool.
I can't wait to sit in the Millennium Falcon and fly that awesome hunk-o-junk!!
Needs a 1:1 scale of an Imperial Walker, and this land is golden.
Hotel inside the attraction? I am saving money to go right away!
Glad to see this
Kinda wish this would've been set in the Original Trilogy, not the Rehash Trilogy, but other than that I'm excited AF for this!
does it really matter tho? There will still be droids, stormtroopers, rebel pilots, and other aliens around the whole area. It doesn't seem time-specific necessarily

Okay Yaramanoglu but your wrong, the timeline is ambiguous, we may see the best villain of all time! Who knows!!
The good thing is that I live right next to Disney land and I love Star wars
So how far will this interaction with characters in the park go? Is this the dawn of the real West World?
So this is our Star Wars telltale game.
THANK YOU.
Where are the AT-ATs? Weren't we shown some construction photos a few months ago with AT-ATs in them?
Douglas Stephens The AT-ATs are actually being built inside a show building for the Battle Escape attraction inside of the Star Destroyer hangar!
Will it be an expansion or an individual park?
If you want to try out the Falcon within the first few days after it opens, you'll want to get in line now.
Will it be open by Easter 2018 (March - April time) because I live in the UK and I'm going to Florida then!
gissneric oh mahn, thanks anyway
Itd be cool if the "credits" were synced with an app that you can use to buy better weapons and armor. Then when you do other stuff in starwars land you can utilize the credits.
What park will this be part of? MGM Studios? (or whatever it's called now)
IMbirdieful Hollywood Studios in FL and Disneyland in CA.

Why there aren't iconic costructions ??
Such as?
they wold paint themsleves into a corner if they based it off a particular planet from the movies.
You really want the whole land to look like Endor or Tattooine?
Jay Moral I wish it looked like endor
Jasmine Lopez the real tragedy here is the Endor forest part of the star tours queue will be gone
its suposley a new land new story
Is there really no major ride in this land? (No space mountain here)

This is insane.
if anything, this should lighten up the traffic in the rest of the park for a little bit
So who's going to live with me there
Looked like Naboo for a second
I hope its more interactive then hp land
They should have land from all all trilogies
I really like the setting... but i really wanted to see the mos eisely cantina in action.
Gabi Draco There will be a very similar cantina where you can drink farm-fresh blue milk! :)
If there isn't some kinda Star Wars themed laser tag I will be severely disappointed.
VeNate13 I cant wait to dress up as a stormtrooper and miss every shot
What's funny that guy use to work for Universal! Now he works for the competition.... interesting!
What would the First Class VIP Experience for 1 week set me back; $15,000?
I'm in!

The burning question is: how many gallons of blue milk will they sell???
