I am 57 years old so i have listen to The Beatles all my life. I have listen to Aurora more than six years now and no artist or group get me more emotional, calm or empatic like Aurora. She is remarcable artis in so many ways. This song by The Beatles is one of my favourite and i am not comparing either. It´s so much love from Aurora in this song you could see the love in her, and in the end she put in a hole new and very good line . Are you gonna save my world, my world . Thats great. I liike your reaction to this and there for i subscribe you. Hope you get to my favourite performance ever soon. It is Lucky In nidarosdomen. Everything is otherworthly and the emotion and atmospheric rate is to the sky. Sorry about my bad english it´s not my first language

I was stunned the first time I heard this cover. I’ve been a massive Beatles fan since I saw them on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964. I think they’re the greatest band there’s ever been, and I think their influence on popular culture ever since goes far beyond the music. There’s nothing equal to it that I’m aware of, at least not in my lifetime. I also think Across the Universe is one of their finest songs, and certainly among John Lennon’s best work.
So for me to say I’ve listened to both versions and I think this one is better, that’s no small thing and I’m sure I’ll take some flak for it. For me the meaning and the ethereal spirit of the song shine through in this version with such brilliant sparkling clarity that it makes the original seem a bit dimmer by comparison. As much as I hesitate to say it, this may be one extremely rare occasion where someone has outdone the Beatles on a Beatles song.

Old grandfather here who loves all things Aurora. Her covers are phenomenal, but it's also her choices of artists and songs to cover that also blow me away. Bowie, The Beatles, Dylan, Cohen, Nat King Cole - perfect for old timers like me. And I loved the Imagine Dragons and Massive Attack covers also, to name just a few others. She and fellow Norwegian Angelina Jordan are my favorites - I think they were both sprinkled with magic fjord fairy dust at birth.

All of Auroras covers are on a different planet the girl is a Genius I was brought up loving the Beatles and I would go as far as saying this was even better in the sense that it brings out how good a song it is,as for Aurora you need to check out own songs especially a song called Lucky which she wrote at the age of 9 it simply is a masterpiece her live performance of the song at the nidarosdomen cathedral is a must see version if fact there is no better live performer than this young artist she sings poetry to your soul and moves emotions inside of you that you never thought you had.my friend with Aurora you have hit Gold dust, stay safe and as Aurora might say “let love conquer your mind “🍎❤️🎭🍎❤️🎭

Aurora's painting on the face has meaning. Those under the eyes stand for tears and those next to the eyes for smile. It is the small wrinkles that arise with honest laughter. It shows that inner emotions should be carried outwards by everyone. Tears especially in men, because suppressing it is simply unhealthy.

This is a great version, did you catch that she slipped in "Are you going to save my world?" into the lyrics at the end?
She's a big fan of nature.
I would check out "Churchyard" or "Soft universe " live at KEXP if you're curious to see her at a bit of a different tempo.
She also has an original song that reminds me of nature boy a lot it's called "Little Boy in the Grass" I would check out the live mahogany sessions version of that one. That song in particular she wrote after the Utøya massacre in Norway in which 69 people were killed (most under the age of 20 and one of which was a friend of Aurora), a further 8 people were killed in Oslo by the same person. It's a very sad song but it's also a very good one.

This should be interesting. I was brought up with The Beatles. My mother told me that the first time that I heard The Beatles, was in 1965. So, I'm quite interested in how you react to this. Aurora is, in my opinion, one of the most interesting artist that this century has produced. The sound of her voice is by far the most beautiful sound that I have ever heard. Ok! Lets watch.

Yes, she is the full package, no doubt. Looking forward to your journey. I would like to see you react to the 2015 Nobel Concert where she did 3 songs, Half the World away (Oasis cover) and her own songs Runaway and Murder Song. Then anything from Nidarosdomen(2017) is fantastic, and there is the HAIK concert and the KEXP Iceland which are also great stuff. And then she has fantastic videos, the Seed, Queendom, Winter Bird, Exist for Love, the River, Running with the Wolves, and the latest, Cure for Me....just to mention some of her incredible production. And she is only 25 - can you believe it??

I visited looking for some new reactions of Susanne Sundfør. Waiting for a reaction of "The Silicon Veil" Live at Skavlan 2012. I so wish that there was a live version of "The Mountaineers" featuring John Grant because that is the piece of music I think you are made to react to.Those two voices together is ..
