The finished quilt is beautiful and your customer is going to love it! Coincidentally, I'm just starting a Sunbonnet Sue quilt. I've always wanted to do one, and you've really provided me with inspiration! I don't do hand stitching, so there will be none of that, but I'm planning to embellish each one using some of my machiine's decorative stitches.
It came out really nice! I just finished piecing a Sunbonnet Sue out of my 32 year old daughter's dresses. Whew! Glad its done. 😃 I think I will have to hand quilt it as I used pieces with trim and gathers to keep the look of the original dresses. I should have used a stabilizer fabric for some. Ugh. I hope the lady loves yours. 🌻🍄
The style looks just like the one my Grandmother made for me when I was 2 in the late 50's. I love my quilt and she will cherish this.
