The Harlow Monkey Experiment. Harry Harlow tested the bond between mother and child. Baby monkeys were taken from their biological mothers and given to a wire " mother" that provided milk or a cloth " mother"that did not . The monkeys overwhelmingly preferred the cloth " mother" that provided comfort. This experiment showed that attachment is based more on comfort than physical nourishment. Being cozy is important. Isn't it wonderful that the Lord Designed mother's to have built in nourishment and the ability to comfort Body , soul and spirit of their children by sharing the Love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
