As a young screenwriter who's weirded out a bit by the idea of watching a new cast in the upcoming series, what about we put this pitch out there: The series is one giant flashback. Harry, Ron and Hermione, and other characters - all played by their older original actors - share their experiences with the next generation, and fill in the gaps that the films left in the story of the books. Alterations can even be addressed; Hermione: 'No no, Death Eaters didn't burn down The Burrow in our sixth year. Stop telling nonsense Ron, you're scaring the little one.' I would love to show my kids the films I grew up on and love but then at the same time getting to enjoy the new series with them without it feeling like a full-blown retcon of the cinematic adaptation.
SPOILER ALERT My personal opinion. Professor Snape didn't believe in the existence of the deathly hallows. It was only a fairy tale for the common people and except for the three protagonists and Dumbledore, Grindelwald (+Xenophilius and some -not so crazy- believers) no one knew that the hallows were real. Even Voldemort didn't know. Although he believed in the power of Dumbledore's wand, he was unaware of its significance (he turned the ring containing the Resurrection Stone into a Horcrux without ever having recognized what the Stone actually was).
I dont see any reason for Dumbledore having to tell that to Snape. Especially since he wanted the secret of the Elder Wand to be buried with him. Besides, as the reply above me states, they were only considered to be fairy tales. It was not even some kind of Holy Grail that has been quested after for centuries because we never even heard of it until the last book and given the number of times the trio have had to imagine some kind of secret weapon that Voldy may be seeking dumbly is protecting yet never muse about this proves that it has not been considered real for thousands of years. It was just a story. I mean if Lovegood believes it then 99.4% of the population certainly dosent
i think they have political issues. I don’t know my mom was talking about it and she said people are saying that there wasn’t gonna be any more movies mainly because of the political issues but then I started seeing that they’re trying to make a season series 2, but I’m not sure if that’s just old news that I’m seeing or what. I don’t doubt they still talk no matter what.
