when i mapped it out start to finish i found >i< was the “victim of changes”...about 34 of them! thanks for breaking these into such learnable chunks and making it an accessible jam for me. priceless.
literally 34?? haha. that makes me so happy to know - my hope is that folks will map it out for themselves in their own way from my vids. thanks for making me happy MT :)
hard to believe, for as long as your favorite, relaxing part goes on but yeah, 34. The E part and A part alternating account for most of them. But what a great bit of song-smithery. I really like the way the parts feed off and reflect each-other. There were a couple spots I found slightly different voicings for, which also made working through the video a fun project. super cool of you to go, as i gather, out of your usual element for this. i really wanted to learn it and i doubt i would have plowed through all of it without your help. it’s an amazing time to be alive. for all the baloney going on, people helping people is stronger than ever, thanks to selfless to do-gooders like you.
Never thought I’d see this day.... ✌️❤️🤘🎸 Going to go down to my vintage vinyl collection and choose a random guitar ditty ... seems you can do anything...
Brilliant lesson, Ryan!! You knocked it out of the park!!!!! Thanks so much for taking the time to lend your earballs to break down this epic tune. I'm astonished how clearly you've explained it all; it almost seems easy! Well, no haha, but possible at least! You're an awesome teacher!
I'm glad you are pleased Bob! Thank you for all your patience :) Very digestible piece by piece... I'd imagine it'll take a healthy amount of play throughs to cue up all the right pieces at all the right times. thanks again for the challenge!
This song brings back memories of watching unleashed in the East on MTV, it's also one of my favorite songs by Priest, I'm also Hoping it's not going to be to hard to learn because I wanted to Wow my family and friends on Facebook by doing a cover song because I have nothing else to do because I'm bedridden from a spinal cord injury and I'm BORED and need something else to do besides sleeping All the time. Hope All is Well Buddy
Had to look this song up because I'm only familiar with Priest's hit "Living After Midnight". I like this song, but I was wondering how you'd handle the whammy-bar lead without a whammy bar on your guitar, but you didn't do that part, but that's OK because the rest of the stuff you did was great and worth it to the viewers. Nice job, Ryan. Thanks.
Hey Ryan! Good to see you again, theres a song you probably know called Dead and Bloated by STP, if you have time do you think you would be able to do a lesson on it? Really cool riff and I'd love to learn it, thanks!
There seems to be one note missing on the «landing» (as you call it) both in the intro before the main riff and before the singing starts. Besides that, this sounds just about right.
Fantastic lesson! Thanks a lot
pleasure GDL!
Great lesson on a great song...I will never forget the first time I saw em play this live...
hey thanks layne
Owww great to see Ryan playing metal!!!
step on up everyone to view the spectacle :P

Great lesson. Wasn't expecting you when I searched for the lesson. Thx for all you do
Really enjoyed that. Thanks dude. ❤️
thanks John!
That sounds really cool.
good ol' classic metal!
Never listened to Judas Priest but that main E riff is fun!!!
this is exactly my sentiment :P
Never thought I’d see this day.... ✌️❤️🤘🎸 Going to go down to my vintage vinyl collection and choose a random guitar ditty ... seems you can do anything...
oh goodie. it's going to be the circus of me playing tricky stuff :P
Just when I think I have all the answers ... you change the questions. Nice curveball with Judas Priest.
:) on principle, I'm happy to get into some classic metal. But man, that was tricky!

"Foolin' with some hotdogs" is how I'm going to sing this from now on.

dammit jim. heal up my man.
like your style....new sub
greetings new friend
Great job deciphering this one :)
thank you sloth!
That song is amazing. The only thing better than the guitars is Halford’s incredible vocals

Thanks MM&M :) to be honest, I'm not fond of using a whammy bar. I totally enjoy them, just when other people use it :)

I don't know this song, but I'm up late and just wanted to say hi, so Hey Ryan!
haha hey Chris! My mom says your mom says it's past your bedtime (stern face)
Any tips how to mute the open e string in the main riff?
thanks

I defer to you Trond, this was a venture into the wilderness for me :) care to let anyone who might read this what that note might be?
@@RyanLendt hehe, it was not meant as being harsh or critcal though as I think you did a splendid job 👌🏼😄
