Love your comnehts on being a Maker and proud. You should be, your multi talented. And your a lovely lady, thats how you come accros to me. Like you I do Sewing, knitting, crochet, card making and gardening. People often say to me, 'Oh, your so clever' but I've never been able to make a living or even decent pocket money. Oh well, I do enjoy myself, that matters doesn't it. 😊

I'm with you on the batch making thing, with a crochet squares blanket I'll only work on and complete one square at a time. Each one feels like a little win! I'd hate to have a ton of them only part worked 😆

Hi Lily. Lovely to see you. Glad you managed to get a couple of bags finished. I usually have a few different things on the go, but I get to a point and want to finish them before starting something new.
Today, I've been assembling another amigurumi mouse for Helen's Mal. Making a little dress for her. Hopefully, she'll be finished this evening. X

There is a very brief window of time when I will do anything outside. Not for the heat, but the mosquitoes. And this summer has been terrible. Too cool and wet. So it sounds like a fun thing to do on a sunny day, but if it is nice enough to keep the bugs at bay, I have too much garden work to do. Make hay while the sun shines. Crochet and sew all the rest of the time. Just indoors.
I love that you thrift and up cycle fabrics and supplies. Yay for the planet!😘
Hi Karen, I agree it sounds fun but in reality not so much, I’d end up leaving my sewing machine and wandering off to pick out some weeds 😂 I love the challenge of using preloved loved fabrics to make something new 🌸 xx

Hi Lily, you are so refreshing and inspirational. I have had times when I have a lovely day making something or crafting. Then family have arrived and said why do you want to do that? I used to react and put it away and not pick it up again. However, people like yourself have made me realise, if I get pleasure making things or just being arty, I don’t have to explain to others why I do it. It’s all about doing what makes us happy. I’ve been making Wilhelmina Woodmouse out in my garden the last few days and it’s been lovely listening to the birds at the same time. Thankyou for being you.xxx
Hi Sue, when I used to get comments like that I would react the same as you and even feel a bit ashamed it’s silly isn’t it. I’m glad I don’t feel like that anymore. I love Wilhelmina, that’s sounds nice and relaxing sewing her outside. I’m now starting to cut out a new CoolCrafting project. 🦆 xx

Good finish on your bags, I hate that feeling of overwhelm. It was too hot outside for me this afternoon but I have taken my machine into the garden sometimes. I use the extension cable from the garage so it’s safe and really enjoy sitting under the parasol and feeling productive.
