The chorus blows my mind each time.
It makes me crying everytime I listen to it. It always reminded me of the death of my father and now it also reminds me of my mother's death. (both are cremated...)

@awanthax hmmm... I think the lyrics are quite open for many ways of interpretation.... To me it's more like an apocalyptic view on the ending of a relationship of any kind, not especially a love relationship. Like, when you put all your soul in building and strengthening a relation and then everything crumbles just like that, when the people involved start making mistake after mistake....

to me its about losing faith on god and feeling like being betrayed by a leader. id simply translate it as losing faith in god and feeling helpless cos life looks to have no purpose or meaning ..
