Finally ! You can't create an album, a masterpiece like that, and not be rewarded 500k+ pre-orders. I've literally added all the tracks to my playlist; I don't even do that with (G)I-dle.

500k pre-orders. The girls are getting PAID what they deserve finally.

“A Page” was a digital-only single album and wasn’t really promoted until a year or so after the release.

I think the both songs she drops during COVID when she is in China, isn't official no any promotion in Korea.

I think Yuqi is more popular among international fans, and that might be part of the reason most of her solo songs are in English. In general, Korean fans tend to prefer Korean idols over all foreign idols, and being Chinese makes it even worse for her because Koreans just hate China (I'm Chinese and I'm just stating the fact). So making songs specifically targeting international fans just makes more sense. Also, honestly, among the five members, only Yuqi and Minnie are more fluent in English and have better potential to hit big in the international market. I know Miyeon and Soyeon are the vocals for KDA, but their English isn't that good honestly.

Yuqi is really fluent in Korean though and pretty popular in Korea so she even got her own variety show and is a guest on varieties very often.
I was just wondering why the songs are in English since it's unusual for a Korean solo debut & also since she wrote Korean songs for Gidle before. But I honestly don't mind the language of her songs cause they are always great so far :)

Miyeon does a great job with english phonetically, and so does Soyeon when she actually is singing with an english audience in mind, but neither really are fluent in it and their accents and enunciations sometimes show. But I think not good is a bit of an overtsatment. IN fact, there are many times when i feel that english suits Miyeons singing better than korean. Soyeon, being the sole lyricist of the majority of her songs and sometimes the sole lyricist of other people´s songs, and a GREAT lyricist to booth, in and outside of rap, is not going to waste her talent writing them in a language she doesnt master. And probably neither is Miyeon now that se is starting to write her own lyrics.
That said, Soyeons english is actually quite more savy and smart than people realize. There is a lot of intentional wordplay that comes with her english that shows a deeper understanding of it than a surface observation might show. AS they say, you can efficiently break a language nly when you truly understand it.
Yuqi said recently that she writes all her lyrics in english first, and then translates them into Korean. She seems just atracted to the language and more comfortable writing and singing in it despite the fact tha she seems to be a bit more fluent in korean than english. That whole "i am a valley girl" act might be less an act than we think. Or not. International reach might be a goal too.

@@saskoreacts After seeing so many online conflicts and all those political and historical controversies between the two countries, I really don't think any Chinese Kpop idol would be as popular in Korea as they could be if they were Korean. So I think for her solo career, putting too much effort in Korean market is a waste of resource or it's just less efficient. The language barrier filters out a lot of the controversies for other international fans. The tension between the two countries is real....anyway, I just think that focusing on English songs is a smart move on their part. Just my opinion though..

@@Dacre1000 When it comes to conversational language, Yuqi and Minnie are clearly better, so they always do the heavy lifting part during international interviews. Being able to communicate confidently in the local language is really important. Knowing the difficulty of learning a foreign language and working in a foreign country, I think I can understand how hard it would be for Soyeon and Miyeon to sing English songs and reach English speaking fans. I really admire Yuqi and Minnie for their fluency in both Korean and English and how successful they are in a foreign market.
