I get such pleasure watching you talking to your flowers (especially asking permission before cutting too much off your trees) - your individual endearment to a "big girl" Dahlia. You are at one with the environment. It reminded me of a hunter asking permission to kill for food. Just one thing more - I would love if you could take photoraphs of your floral arrangements' final resting place eg church harvest festival arrangements on the white linen altar cloth. You conjure up an ancient, cold, stone church, with dappled light from the stainglass windows. You are a born story teller!!!
I do enjoy watching you create beautiful flower arrangements! I love these. I had a laugh that you left in the bits showing you searching for your cutters. I’m constantly looking for mine as well. Nice to know I’m not the only one spending way too much time in search of them. I actually bought a bunch of them at the beginning of spring and hung a basket on the door leading to the gardens so I could always grab a pair and drop them off as I come in. Now in September there are only three pair in the basket. Lol
Georgie - if only I could buy my old house back - never mind the church alter - those arrangements would’ve looked fabulous there… I always wonder what more you can show us but every season generates new gems. What an absolute pleasure to observe. It may have to be a coffee this month. Hoped for a workshop, even a book, but reduction in hours dictates a different approach. Onwards and upwards. Things always get better. Your videos bring much hope and inspiration. THANK YOU! xx
Your videos are fabulous. Can you maybe do one, one day, about how to grow roses - you have such healthy ones. Mine just shatter in the vase and are just prone to black spot etc
I really look forward to watching your videos and am absolutely in love with all of your arrangements. I am learning so much from you. Thank you very much 💜 love Kim, from not so sunny Suffolk xx
I’m thrilled to discover your TH-cam channel! Ive listened to you many times on various podcasts, the most recently on Let’s Grow Girls (missing them very much right now!) I’m in the southern US near Tuscaloosa, Alabama in zone 8b. We can get pretty cold but unlike Somerset we have scorching, brutal summer heat. This is my first year growing dahlias, or anything really, and let’s just say it’s been a painful growing experience. I’ve had the wonderful opportunity of traveling all around the world and seeing the most amazing gardens. I just adore a cottage garden. I’m sad to say the cottage garden of my dreams will probably never happen here. I’m going to try the Cool Flowers approach this year. I hope to have foxgloves, delphinium and snapdragons to arrange next year. By the way, I loved the trick with propping the dahlia head on the sedum....or yarrow? I can’t remember but would probably work with either! I’m about to go harvest my very first Café au lait. I prepared my snips, bucket and gloves last night like some sort of strange garden ritual. I’m SO excited! 😂 Thanks for all the tips and tricks!!! 💚
Georgie. Love these!!! From the Pac. N.W. (Usa). Travel to UK frequently before Covid. Love the people , history., terrain. Gathered Antiques for many years. Please speak on length for cutting flowers, I am not good at length, but learning lots from u. By the way, your mom is a hoot!! Fantastic garden.
Absolutely gorgeous Georgie! Perfect for a church harvest festival. The length of your rose stems is incredible - what variety is it? So healthy looking too. A great instructional video - many thanks.
If you know the names/variety of the flowers, I would appreciate you sharing them as you go, I loved the larger pinky dahlias. Thank you for such inspiring videos.
@@theflowerfarmer Hi, do you know what the two larger pink dahlias are? I was thinking that one could be either the Penhill Monarch or Penhill Watermelon. Thanks again.
I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video, but I think it is my favorite!
Ah glad you enjoy it x
Absolutely gorgeous!

thank you - sometimes I do photograph in place, but most of the time the flowers are collected from me so I don't see them in their final home x

Love the roses you keep using. Can you tell me what variety they are?
Lots! Might do a special rosey clip one day x
@@theflowerfarmer would be nice if you could mention the varieties.
@@theflowerfarmer I look forward to that clip

I cut hard into the roses for long stems - they don't mind x
Gorgeous, do you have any tips for keeping black spot off the roses?
sadly not x

I’ll have to watch - unlikely penmill anything - could be cafe au lait rose x
@@theflowerfarmer Thank you. Please, don't worry about watching it, you are busy. It could be Cafe au Lait Rose, that it also on my wish list. x
I want to buy you a coffee but I can't find where. Please link this in COMMENTS on your videos. Make it easier for us to treat you ☕
I’ll see if I can… I am a bit of a technotwit xxx

The alder branch to the left is quite too long. Otherwise I enjoyed your loose and creative organized chaos design.
