fuck, I'm a transgender guy and this series gave me even more confidence and inspiration to continue being who I am today. over the span of a week you have become someone who I look up to in many ways: most of all, your music. you're a beautiful person Laura Jane Grace! thank you so much.
This was a fantastic series, so eye opening, heart breaking, but over all a great way to educate and show people that different is not bad. Also, Laura, your mom could not be a better support. What an excellent example of a mother; showing unconditional love for a child.
was in tears all the way through this series. as someone who's nonbinary, it's very hard for people to understand and accept me for who I am. but this is giving me so much hope that maybe one day things will be ok. thank you.
Ah this made me cry. I've watched a lot of trans documentaries and TH-cam videos, perhaps looking for answers, and this was truly one of the most insightful, hopeful ones. I'm so glad people like this exist in the world, thanks to all who contributed and made this little series happen.
I have no idea whether Laura is ever going to see this message, but I don't care because I need to speak my mind about how powerful this documentary has been for me. I feel such a strong emotional connection with Laura's experiences because it's literally the same thing that I am going through right now. In the same way that Laura looked up to Madonna and wanted to be her I have found the same role model in Laura, and it's really given me the push that I have so desperately needed to accept who I am as a trans feminine person. Laura, I know this is going to sound so cliche, but I genuinely think your documentary, your book, your interviews, and your music has inevitably saved my life, and for that I am profoundly grateful.
AOL Originals I've recently come out as gender dysphoric to a few close family members. This docu-series was everything and more. I am currently looking into finding a gender therapist. Thank you AOL for allowing Laura Jane this platform for so many like me who need it. (:
I am not trans but i am part of the LGBT community and for a person like me, i been through a lot and when i found against me i felt safe, i didn't feel like if i was all of me i would be harmed in anyway. I grow up with a single mom i had no male roll models other then punks and i was also the person who is open to wear anything and everything, i paint my nails and i am ok with wearing a dress to school and i got bullied for it. but i finally feel great bout my self and against me and Laura Jane Grace saved my life
This was AWESOME to watch. As someone whose best friend is going through transition (and a super Against Me fan too) this was super informative and beautiful to watch. Thank you so much for making this Laura!
wow! Great story and good for you for being your true authentic self :) I wish you all the successes in everything you do. So happy to have clicked on these episodes...I've learned so much about Transgender and watched it with my kids.
I think the only thing that I can say is "Congratulations!" And thank you so much for sharing your stories!I loved know your world and your reality. All the smiles of the world for you guys!!!
1:36 Fallon Fox is legit one of the trans people who has done most to raise concerns in members of the public of the issues regarding contenporary trans rights objectives.
Amazing series. Laura is such an inspiration to me. I fell in love with Against Me when i was a teenager and i'm 29 now, her music has saved my life over and over again. Watching her transition into the beautiful, strong woman she always wanted to be is so incredible ❤️
What an eye-opening docu-series. At least, this helps me to understand and tells to never assume or being judgemental towards trans people. We are all different, but that's what makes us the true human being. Respect!
Aric Vanlandingham I know how scary it is, and you have EVERY right to be nervous. But I believe in you, even if that means nothing. I know you can do it and it’s never too late.
this series was more than I could have hoped for and just what I needed.suffering from gender dysphoria..it does help to see others and how they cope..but also just starting a support worker role for trans adults..its so helpful!!
This has been my favorite series I think, ever. Ever. Of Everdom. Nooo, I don't want it to end, haha!- It has been one of *the* most important pieces of medium I have ever come across. It is pieces of heartfelt & genuine communication like this that open up a doorway to conversation, change, and coming equality with accompanying pride in our times and future. Thank you SO much to Laura, everyone who gave their voice in this series, and AOl for putting this thread of beauty into the world for all to see. This has been life-changing. :') I will never forget watching this. ❤️ To the right to recognize who we all authentically are, whomever that soul may be, and just *live* life wholeheartedly, unabashedly, and in joy. Because, *we're all people.* Just, people. :) ❤️
I've just read her book 'Tranny', it's definitely worth a read, I'd love to see Against Me! in the UK at some point. Hopefully live music will come back stronger than ever!
Thank you so much for this. I have had such a hard time accepting my daughter's transitioning. I think I have been so hurt because I thought we were closer than what we are and she's gone through this alone without telling me anything. I'm finding out through other people what she has been going through and I honestly don't know what to do to help her.
This was very important to me. I'm a teenage lesbian and one of my best friends is non-binary, so we both like seeing representation in our communities.
This docu~series was amazing! I've always had an open view to most things...this opened my eyes (and HEART 💓) even more than before. I'm not trans, however I am supportive. Which is what we're ALL striving for, amiright!?!? THANK YOU! Support & LOVE one another! Regardless of our differences ✌️ ((LOVE you, Laura!!! 😍))
They are just people. That's the most important sentence in this whole docu. It's annoying that trans persons always have to say "I'm a trans woman/man." The world would be so great, when they just could say "I'm a woman/man." I hope the world changes fast for that to happen!
That is including District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, with Dc being federal district and Puerto Rico being just a territory(unincorporated). Some people count them however they are not technically states.

Laura saved my life. Her strength to be herself gave me the strength to accept myself.
that's so wonderful! I hope you are doing well. I also have had a few great trans role models to help me.
Regina Gallico same
Same here
Same. I hope I get to tell her in person one day.
was in tears all the way through this series. as someone who's nonbinary, it's very hard for people to understand and accept me for who I am. but this is giving me so much hope that maybe one day things will be ok. thank you.
Cole Chick hey, im nonbinary too!!
I never noticed it before but I just realize how much Laura looks like her mom
She also resembles Alanis Morissette.
Especially the hair.

Laura Was/Is Definitely A Big Source Of Inspiration For My Transition, It's Such A Bumpy Road But All Of Us Trans Folk Are Getting There Together
This was AWESOME to watch. As someone whose best friend is going through transition (and a super Against Me fan too) this was super informative and beautiful to watch. Thank you so much for making this Laura!

LJG and AM! Kinda saved my life. I’m ftm and closeted at home and this music and Laura’s story helped me to accept myself for what I was.
I am 46 and have hidden all my life - there is a great gender clinic here so why am i still afraid...i just want to be me
Aric Vanlandingham I know how scary it is, and you have EVERY right to be nervous. But I believe in you, even if that means nothing. I know you can do it and it’s never too late.
You've got this
this series was more than I could have hoped for and just what I needed.suffering from gender dysphoria..it does help to see others and how they cope..but also just starting a support worker role for trans adults..its so helpful!!

i'm not crying, you're crying. we all crying.
Oh...and Laura's mom-ROCKS!
Imagine stumbling across this series 9 years late, as a trans femme 4 years into transition and STILL crying your eyes out.

Thank you all so much!
Wonderful series! Loved every minute.
I idolize these people for having such a clear concept of themselves, I don't know who I am and I hate myself for that
the hugs were really cute in this one
Very touching. It's worth to watch.
Thanks Laura, thanks Against Me !, thanks AOL Originals
I wish I had a group of people like this.
This docu~series was amazing! I've always had an open view to most things...this opened my eyes (and HEART 💓) even more than before. I'm not trans, however I am supportive. Which is what we're ALL striving for, amiright!?!? THANK YOU! Support & LOVE one another! Regardless of our differences ✌️

I love how Laura just comes up and hugs her.
Laura is really cute, smart, and incredibly talented. I'm thrilled there's another hot, very special woman in the world.
Miam -!- freedom and desire, it´s enthusiastic
don't know how likely it is that i'll get an answer, but i was just curious if the part where Laura is stage diving was filmed at Ale House?
Laura looks so much like Sharon Horgan from catastrophe
Did he say "all 52 states" at 4:25?
+scarsunseen24 i think dc and puerto rico? or somehting
+Alison Poehlman Those aren't states... There are definitely only 50 states.
don't forget "state of mind" and "state of emergency." their is also the lesser known "Californication." namaste
Trans equality rocks
im not crying! you're crying!

Theres a Baltimore, Massachusetts? Or is that a fuck up? Cuz Maryland should be MD...not MA....least important thing in the video but...its there.
What to do with my life now?
Nice OST by the way.
aaaaaaamaxing
Amazing docu-series!!! Laura Jane Grace is a better role model to the transgender community than Caitlin Jenner
Bonnie is super mum
Blue knows there’s 50 states, and not 52 right?
I wish my mom was like LJG mom
52 states
That is including District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, with Dc being federal district and Puerto Rico being just a territory(unincorporated). Some people count them however they are not technically states.
Servants of lies
