My grandparents live "far away" from us and it's a half an hour's drive lmao
Heck to get from the upstate of South Carolina to the low country it takes like 4/5 hours so that’s not that far of you think about it still being the same state which is basically the same drive she did. From top to lower

Right! The only issue is certain family members or friends that come in with the bride. You can tell the people who work there are trying so hard to be nice but those shitty family members are the ones who ruin the experience.

Aren’t they wonderful at Kleinfelds? My daughter got her Pnina Tornai wedding gown there and we had an awesome day in NYC. We unexpectedly got to meet Pnina and she designed my daughter’s matching veil that day. It was like an out-of-body experience none of us will ever forget. We were able to take photos and everyone was super awesome. After the wedding, we sent Pnina a photo of my daughter and SIL and she wrote us back thanking us.

Just a tip on buying accessories online ... it is literally impossible to colour match the perfect shade of your dress without being there in person. The Kleinfeld accesories may be worth it for that reason. So happy for you 💕

I went to David’s Bridal for my dress. I went twice and both times was just “meh”. I knew I was supposed to trust the consultants, but as a plus size bride, I hated about everything they brought me. I was prepping to settle on comfort factor first but my sister (a teen and heart broken at seeing me struggling) got rebellious and ignored all the staff freaking out at her for carrying one of their dresses and brought it to me and insisted I try it on. I agreed because I immediately loved the beading, and the consultant reluctantly helped me into the dress. It was gorgeous and I was shocked how beautiful I felt. It was opposite everything the consultants were putting me in. It was satin (not lace) with beading and a dropped waist (they kept putting me in empire or natural waist). Despite not wanting a veil the consultant insisted. I promptly ignored the dumb veil but the dress was so perfect that I bought it. My mom made a beautiful beaded headpiece to match the sparkly beading (flower) pattern on the dress. So although the dress shopping wasn’t much fun, my sister saved the day, and I did find something that is so beautiful that I shockingly even enjoy all the wedding day photos of! I think maybe paying extra for the right consultants really does make a huge difference!

Shopping for a wedding dress when you’re plus sized is so tricky. Bridal tends to run small as it is. When I was dress shopping I went to the local bridal store that’s been around for years and they had maybe 4 dresses over a size 10 to try on. It was so ridiculous. I took my size 12 ass elsewhere and found a dress.
I bought my dress this year- I’m Australian so no klienfelds but your experience mirrors my experience at the boutique I almost bought my dress at vs the boutique I ended up buying my dress at. The place I bought my dress at gave me the whole experience- I felt beautiful and like they really cared about finding me the dress - it makes such a big difference!
My sister went to Kleinfeld's for a fitting!!! Her now husband arranged everything!!! All extremely romantic!!! Glad you had fun too!!! We are from 🇨🇦 so he went lengths. You have a day and take care!!! 😷😃😷

Not going to lie as you gave more and more 'hints' about the dress I fully went on Kleinfelds instagram page and tried to sleuth out which dress it was, I'm so excited for you!! I also grew up watching Say Yes to the Dress and hearing about how they make it so special and positive for everyone was very wholesome.
I never want a wedding, can't stand parties, etc. But I love the wedding content! I love seeing people excited and happy about a thing that would be such a scary experience for me.

That is so major for a plus size girl. I had issues a lot back in the day. It was even harder back in the 90’s. I had to order my prom dress. When came in it didn’t fit. Then I had to run around & had to get a new one in just a few days & my wedding dress alterations got screwed up & I had to find a dress in a day. I am so happy for you. 💋. It isn’t basic to want to be special honey it is so important to feel beautiful!!!!

Kleinfelds--Say Yes To The Dress is my sports event. I literally get a bag of popcorn before the show, during the show yell at the Bride to get that dress, groan if they do not. As one of the very few reality shows that I enjoy, it is good to know that these people appreciate their customers.

I was a plus size bride back in 2013. The boutique I got my dress from at first they were amazing I wanted an off the shoulder dress at first they said they could have sleeves added. Fast forward to when my dress came in they told me they couldn't add the sleeve they said that if I wanted that I would have had to request it when I originally ordered the dress I was annoyed but accepted it. My first fitting for the alterations I left the boutique bawling my eyes out. I had gained a little bit of weight 15 pounds maybe my dress was a corset close and it wasn't closing up properly and she made me feel awful about it. If I could have I would have taken my dress elsewhere to be altered but the alterations were included in the price of the dress.
I’m so happy you got to make one of your dreams come true, Kleinfeld has me wanting to say “yes” to a dress even though I don’t even want to say “yes” to a marriage 😂 I wish you the best, Hannah ♥️

And from someone who doesn’t watch Say Yes to the Dress nor care about wedding dresses, you convinced me to appreciate and anticipate this experience. PS my mom also got her dress from kleinfelds back in the late 80s and my parents have been married for over 30 years.

I went to David’s Bridal for my dress. I went twice and both times was just “meh”. I knew I was supposed to trust the consultants, but as a plus size bride, I hated about everything they brought me. I was prepping to settle on comfort factor first but my sister (a teen and heart broken at seeing me struggling) got rebellious and ignored all the staff freaking out at her for carrying one of their dresses and brought it to me and insisted I try it on. I agreed because I immediately loved the beading, and the consultant reluctantly helped me into the dress. It was gorgeous and I was shocked how beautiful I felt. It was opposite everything the consultants were putting me in. It was satin (not lace) with beading and a dropped waist (they kept putting me in empire or natural waist). Despite not wanting a veil the consultant insisted. I promptly ignored the dumb veil but the dress was so perfect that I bought it. My mom made a beautiful beaded headpiece to match the sparkly beading (flower) pattern on the dress. So although the dress shopping wasn’t much fun, my sister saved the day, and I did find something that is so beautiful that I shockingly even enjoy all the wedding day photos of! I think maybe paying extra for the right consultants really does make a huge difference!

Shopping for a wedding dress when you’re plus sized is so tricky. Bridal tends to run small as it is. When I was dress shopping I went to the local bridal store that’s been around for years and they had maybe 4 dresses over a size 10 to try on. It was so ridiculous. I took my size 12 ass elsewhere and found a dress.
I bought my dress this year- I’m Australian so no klienfelds but your experience mirrors my experience at the boutique I almost bought my dress at vs the boutique I ended up buying my dress at. The place I bought my dress at gave me the whole experience- I felt beautiful and like they really cared about finding me the dress - it makes such a big difference!
My sister went to Kleinfeld's for a fitting!!! Her now husband arranged everything!!! All extremely romantic!!! Glad you had fun too!!! We are from 🇨🇦 so he went lengths. You have a day and take care!!! 😷😃😷

Not going to lie as you gave more and more 'hints' about the dress I fully went on Kleinfelds instagram page and tried to sleuth out which dress it was, I'm so excited for you!! I also grew up watching Say Yes to the Dress and hearing about how they make it so special and positive for everyone was very wholesome.
I never want a wedding, can't stand parties, etc. But I love the wedding content! I love seeing people excited and happy about a thing that would be such a scary experience for me.

That is so major for a plus size girl. I had issues a lot back in the day. It was even harder back in the 90’s. I had to order my prom dress. When came in it didn’t fit. Then I had to run around & had to get a new one in just a few days & my wedding dress alterations got screwed up & I had to find a dress in a day. I am so happy for you. 💋. It isn’t basic to want to be special honey it is so important to feel beautiful!!!!

Kleinfelds--Say Yes To The Dress is my sports event. I literally get a bag of popcorn before the show, during the show yell at the Bride to get that dress, groan if they do not. As one of the very few reality shows that I enjoy, it is good to know that these people appreciate their customers.
We picked out my best friend’s wedding dress at Kleinfelds in February of last year. It was such an awesome experience 💜

I was a plus size bride back in 2013. The boutique I got my dress from at first they were amazing I wanted an off the shoulder dress at first they said they could have sleeves added. Fast forward to when my dress came in they told me they couldn't add the sleeve they said that if I wanted that I would have had to request it when I originally ordered the dress I was annoyed but accepted it. My first fitting for the alterations I left the boutique bawling my eyes out. I had gained a little bit of weight 15 pounds maybe my dress was a corset close and it wasn't closing up properly and she made me feel awful about it. If I could have I would have taken my dress elsewhere to be altered but the alterations were included in the price of the dress.

PS my mom also got her dress from kleinfelds back in the late 80s and my parents have been married for over 30 years.
