I remember listening to him with my dad as I grew up. I’ve always loved his music. After my dad died I got in his truck and started playing a greatest hits tape of Don Williams. Lord I Hope This Day Is Good began playing.
I have been a life long fan of Don Williams. His voice is very soothing. I remember him well in the seventies and attended one of his last concerts . May he RIP
What was the "Tragic Ending of Don Williams"? The man lived a successful live, with his God given talent . We ALL die ! Of one thing or another. At what age of dying is accepetable?
I can't stop listening to Don. I grew up listening to Don, Jim Reeves everyday in my Mum's car and the song I play daily now is "If I needed You" amongst many others. I ended up with a total collection of Don Williams hits. May His Soul keep Resting in Peace.
My aunt and uncle named their youngest son, born on my birthday when I was 9, after Don Williams. I remember many a day sitting in their living room listening to his music with them. They even wrote to him and told him about naming their son after him and how much his music meant to them. The got a lovely letter back. It broke my aunt's heart when he died but she did get to see one of his last concerts.
Don was the best ever. I can’t remember how many times I saw him in concert,he would come out on stage and sit on a stool. His music was and still is fantastic.
I grew up listening to Don Williams along with many other country music legend's but Don Williams was my favorite! What I really loved about him was he had his own way of singing and I loved it. I loved his music 🎶 so well that I recorded myself singing his songs. I was driving to town one day listening to the radio and the station I was listening to got interrupted by the news and they said that Don Williams just passed away and I couldn't do anything but cry 😢. I wanted to meet him so bad but never got to but I know someday we will All be "Gathering at the River" in the Sky Lord 🙏 in the SKY 🙏! The world 🌍 misses you Don Williams 💗
I've loved Don since I first heard him in the late 70"s. His song that I liked the most was "I believe in You". I had tickets 2 years in a row the last years of his life but unfortunately due to his health both times they were cancelled, a big regret in my life that I never got to see him in person.
Most underrated country star of all time in my opinion. He wasn't really in the whole outlaw country scene so I think he gets overlooked because of that but a voice like butter and simple lyrics everyone can sing along to!
Followed Don Williams for his entire career & saw him in person at Billy Bob’s in Ft. Worth in the late 90’s. Phenomenal voice, extremely friendly & the epitome of traditional country cool. God gave him that wonderful voice, Don shared it with us.
Why are all of your click bait videos “sad” endings “. I’ve known this about your channel for a long time and the only reason I clicked this one is I’m such a fan of Don Williams. The only thing sad about performers like this is they have to get old and leave us like anyone else. You should be changing your titles as most of your content is pretty good and informative as well. You don’t have to be quite so histrionic in your titles to get views in my opinion just provide good content. My opinion. Take it as you will. But thanks for this one.
I missed a concert of Don's in Spokane in the eighties I believe and have been kicking myself for years. NO one could sing like that man and still can't. Oh, for another chance!
I saw a Don Williams in Odessa, TX in 1981 or 1982. He sat on a high stool with just his guitar. Absolutely beautiful. Remember him with the Pozo Seco Singers (spelling).
I miss that good ole boy ,i came back to watch because i was listening to his music which speaks to my soul ,it also makes me sad don williams gone from earth but his music touch the lives of so many i ll never forget him THE KING OF HEART AND SOUL THE GREATEST SONGWRITER THAT WAS AND WILL ALWAYS GIVE OTHER ARTIST INSPIRATION
I was in Kigali, Rwanda back in 2006 and was visiting a French couples house. We were listening to all sorts of French records when the lady told me that she was sorry that they had but only one record album in English. Low and behold she drags out a Don Williams "Volume Two" album. I told her that she couldn't have more of a perfect album for that moment. The first song on the album is "I wish I were in Nashville". Being that I was in the army at the time, from Nashville and on a mission far from home. It hit deep. Also, this was my father's music and now that he's gone it reminds me of him and when we would listen to Don Williams on the 8 track in his truck.
Great video but what's so tragic about his death from emphysema ? It's sad but that's not tragic, he didn't die in an accident, and he didn't die young.
So he had a successful music career that spanned DECADES, had a great life and died of natural causes basically. Talk about click bait titles. I think I’ll skip them from now on since that’s how you seem to title everything.
I remember listening to him with my dad as I grew up. I’ve always loved his music. After my dad died I got in his truck and started playing a greatest hits tape of Don Williams. Lord I Hope This Day Is Good began playing.

Why do you put the sad ending . You do my head in. Hopefully you'll have a sad ending. Prick.
Grew up listening to this music. My dad would play it from the tapes and cassettes. It's the music I still listen to even now. RIP Don Williams

What was the "Tragic Ending of Don Williams"? The man lived a successful live, with his God given talent . We ALL die ! Of one thing or another. At what age of dying is accepetable?
It's ridiculous, isn't it? I read the tragic truth about George Harrison - no tragedy except his death. Who writes this tosh?
The gentle giant. RIP
You are missed

RIP Gentle Giant.
His was a well lived life and a quiet passing on of a legend. R.I.P.

Randy travis is my most fav singer. but Don williams probably the only artist i love each and every song he sings.
Continue Resting in peace the gentle Giant
he was so good
Der was no tragic or anything here
He lived his life to the fullest
Said the same thing
he was one of my favorite singers printed on my mind from child hood.
Guudnightini Don . May your soul rest in P-E-R-F-E-C-T peace...
Why you Said Sad Ending
Because William is A man of our
Time?
When the voices, sung legibly, and instruments, played, both without computers, made the music. That was my time, and probably yours too.
He even lived full time,l don’t see tragic
God lov em Don Williams
saw him in Kansas City not long before he left us
County music is very good songs
mum loved him she played his albums regularly
The master
Great video but what's so tragic about his death from emphysema ? It's sad but that's not tragic, he didn't die in an accident, and he didn't die young.
Floydida...great memories there..
💓💓💓
He died of emphysema, not natural cause . If didn’t smoke too much , he will still alive , I think .. sad....
It’s John prine not prime
Thinking of him on what would have been his 84th birthday.
Don sure is missed.
🤨🤔Just thinking of the Old Coyote Town🤗😁‼Yup❗
According to this channel EVERYONE'S life is sad and tragic at the end. 🤣 😪😪😪😪😪😪
You are so right!
Was he a smoker? Great voice btw--
Why the hell do you care?
@@MIKECNW STFU, I asked a question. Unless you know the answer, do not reply.
@@boomerang6130 Yeah he was
@@cowboyup6744 Thanks Lobster! 👍
@@MIKECNW you must be a stupid smoker too,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
My brother could sing just like him
😪😪😪😭😭😭
@Remembering Famous People: Careful of what you confess...for that's precisely what you will possess! Creating a title for leverage on views!
First silly
Hi Donna how are you doing?
The Don is dead (1973)
Don forgot to take his meds
So he had a successful music career that spanned DECADES, had a great life and died of natural causes basically. Talk about click bait titles. I think I’ll skip them from now on since that’s how you seem to title everything.
How is this a "tragic ending?" Everyone dies. Clickbait. Don seemed to have had a normal ending. Died at the average age for men.
