The staff are heroes. I'm sure they were scared to death and yet they worked to keep all their patients safe! Great job! I'm sure there were many prayers !!❤
Thank you for this update, the pictures i first saw of this disaster were of the hospital & the patients being evacated off the roof & seeing just how high the water was it must have bern terryfying. Since then i often wondered about the hospital & if it survived structural & what it was like inside. Now i know, what absolute carnage inside. That day will never be forgotton god bless everyone who survived the first responders & RIP to all those poor souls who lost their lives. ❤🙏🏻😢
Living in WNC, I have to say the flood damage we see daily is so depressing. Makes me want to cry to even see this destruction of a needed institution. So grateful there was no loss of life. Amazing rescue. Imagine carrying a patient up a ladder to the roof on your back.
Our doctor and her office staff were the last ones to make it out in their cars. This is so heartbreaking seeing the destruction. We had an awesome hospital and loved the people who worked there.
I warned you all when you was in the beginning stages of building the hospital there. I was there picking up a dumpster load of construction debris, I told the general contractor that it was a bad idea building that hospital in the flood plain. Pointed toward the river and He said, "We aren't worried about that. The river is way over there. It won't come over here." Hmmm but what do I know. I'm just a truck driver.
Curious as to what is going to happen now. I can't imagine them rebuilding in that location but why then the cleanup ?, why not just bull doze the place ?. It is incomprehensible to me they would build there or remodel instead of finding a safer location.

It was a very nice facility. Unexpectedly nice the first time I saw it. The folks there saved my life a few years ago.

Water tested at 136 acidity level, instead of 10. Dogs, deer, horses dying people sick. It’s like battery acid.
I was scheduled for an MRI on the Monday after this happened.....
