Happy New Year Rampage ! Great to see you having such success. I've been around since you had a few thousand subs. Love to see how your channel has grown. May all your cards be live and your pots be monsters in 2022 !
I think he had 5-3 that would explain betting on the flop but slowing down when the second 8 hit then raising on his river 5. Great content as always brotha
I was thinking maybe A5 of diamonds as well. Raising flop w pair + flush draw. Check when the top card pairs, then raise the river when he makes a house.
"Rather be lucky than good" seems to be the theme for your cash session. You said it best, when you proclaimed to be living the "luckbox life". Congrats on nice cash win
Appreciate you showing the 8/10suited hand! We've all been in that position but to see a pro do it, maybe we aren't too crazy when we try it after all.
I let you off last video but this one… The 10 high bluff on such a dangerous board? The double pot raise with full house? Are you ok? Lol 😝 please come to the UK I could do with some Rampage dollars 😁 have a good new year bud.
Other than your stubborn bluff you played very well. I also think playing that way in a tournament would have busted you out before your run good. Congrats, Happy New Year
You're in a good spot right now, recreational players want to challenge you and the pros seem to avoid you unless they're sitting with the nuts, the flexibility you have in your game is a huge advantage, very entertaining 🌞
Thanks for all the content you provided us this year I was very entertain. Best of luck next year and I will be there in the front seat enjoying the ride with you though the ups and downs of poker
Happy Poker New Year Bro! Love watching u(and with Nicole) half a globe away... May u have a profitable 2022!!! Cheers bro .... send my regards to Nicole... 😄🎉🎊♥️
You are a machine getting out so many videos! 13:00 is interesting and of course you played it fine, but I think I would have bet that river much bigger (~$600) or much smaller (~$40). Given your image, blasting the pot here is good to target a 5 or a hero call from A high hoping for a chop. A tiny bet induces bluffs from hands like 76, 42s, 97, or diamonds that may be more likely to fold to the $150 bet. You had a very similar spot at 16:55 where you blasted it perfectly despite the 4-liner. 2:05 I think this preflop raise is too ambitious OOP into three other players. But definitely makes for more interesting hands! On turn, this is a terrible shove. What could she possibly fold there for this price? She’s never folding an A. Diamonds get there and if she’s bad enough to call the flop with two broadway cards, she’s bad enough to call a turn now that she has improved. I think information is generally overrated but you should just sheepishly show your hand there so you can at least see if she called you down light with an A.
Opponent could have had a 5 in that hand or possibly ace x of diamonds. Missed his flush draw and turned his ace high into a bluff on the river to try to fold out pocket pairs. Then when you re raised, he could have thought you were bluffing and called with ace high on the double paired board. Congrats on the win and happy new year!
With all this overbetting is making me question whether or not when you’re betting for value, is this strategy a profitable bet in the long run? Or are you just potentially losing alot of value in many spots by scaring away your opponents that have strong holdings?
he doesn't know how to overbet. You should only be overbetting with a polarized range. He does it with showdown / semi-value hands that should never be overbet. That's just lighting money on fire. That last hand is a perfect example, he should not be overbetting a set there, even top set. He should be targeting Queen and two pair holding with a small bet. Otherwise he's only getting snapped off by better hands (obviously he gets paid off this time, but villain is just dumb there and def not a good player)
Betting 500 w 777 w a 4 liner on board, (in a 500 pot) was just about the dumbest bet I have ever seen. What calls? A 3? Anything less than you folds. Most 3s and 8s raise and YOU fold. Does anyone think a 3 folds to this bet?
Thoughts about checking when the turn puts a second J on board in the 44 hand -- If he has a J, then great, let him barrel, and if he doesn't, then let him bluff his range with likely 0% equity??
that hand at 15 and a half mins when you flopped broadway wasnt the nuts. came runner runner spade flush. but still nice to have that run good. keep it up man
Rampage, have you ever thought of using a +/- number on the graphics to show profit/loss? Just curious on your thoughts about that, I know you normally say it a lot but I tend to zone out
@@RampagePoker I think he’s talking about doing what Wolfgang goes with how he will have his profit/loss up during the whole session instead of just at the end
Ethan this is a back handed compliment, like ya sense humor do miss when u loose kick the basketball lol, but your the biggest luckbox ever, like 1 in 100 bad beats, hit everything on the flop always, more lucky then anyone I know. Lol....call u Magic Ethan
Hi Ethan, hope your well and doing great. Happy Holidays! Patience, patience, patience, That 10 8 was a punt. Bluffing most of the time doesn’t work. Every now and then they go through but you should never get a habit of doing it. Great session. You did good over all. Congrats on your win. Happy New Year to you too. Peace🌹
Ethan, great way to end the year, hope you can join us for a tourney at Boston Billiards one of these times (if you ever get home…MLK $250 tourney the middle of January???).Would like to meet the local guy who was similar to me 30 years ago (marriage ended my Vegas trips after dropping 20k a month before x-mas…wife didn’t care about variance!).
Ethan, if you didn't call river raises, and folded more out of position, you would as hard to play as Phil ivey. Everything else you do is decades ahead of your age/skill level. Seriously work on tightening your EP range and fold more river raises and you'll go to the next level! Cheers and happy new year 🎉
44 over bet on turn doesn’t make much sense. For that sizing you can fold out some of his draws (which are drawing dead). And if he had a Jack, he probably is raising a normal sized bet. Even if he has like JT there a lot of people would just call that sizing.
Good advertising at the beginning to get paid off the rest of the night 👍🏼
The only 'crazy' hand was trying to bluff with a 10 high. Everything else was aggressive & pretty reasonable. Congrats on the win!
Yeah I was thinking the same thing, Any ace or king makes the call and the flush got there so the bluff made no sense at all
gotta fit in at least 1 punt ya know

Was saying the same thing. Also if you're gna overbet as a way to get value, why 2x the pot?
Just what I was thinking. Left at least 5 or 600 on the table by scaring away lesser hands.
