Chance the Rapper did two SNL segments that rank amongst my favorite. He plays an NBA basketball reporter tasked with filling in for other reporters. The first is when he reports on a video game competition called "League of Legends" and he knows absolutely nothing about the game. The second is when he filled in for a NHL hockey reporter and knows nothing about hockey or even how to pronounce the names of the players. They are both hysterical.
Yes to the nod to "Forrest Gump"! 😂 If you like it when cast members lose it during a comedy skit then you should watch some old episodes of The Carol Burnett Show, especially "The Dentist" and "Tim Conway's The Elephant Story"! The whole cast was great.
Besides "Debbie Downer at Disney World", the series of alien abduction interviews with Kate McKinnon called "Close Encounters" are good for people trying to hold it together. And then there's the 40th Anniversary version of Celebrity Jeopardy.

What always messed me up was him starting off saying that they've been close friends for 30 years, then him seemingly not knowing her well or ever meeting her family.

There’s some good compilations of SNL actors trying not to break character. I know the Bill Hader ones are hilarious. There’s another couple where Jonah Hill breaks Leslie Jones too.
They did such a good job displaying how racist and unintelligent Steve Harvey really is. Also, it's so obvious that the show selected the families based on their race, which went on for many, many years. and nobody really ever said anything.
Someone told me once that it was in Steve Harvey's contract that they had to put black families on as often as they did white families, or he wouldn't be host, so they just did black vs. white forever. I have no idea if that's true, but I found it funny. The show did put mainly just white families on for years before Harvey was host, so good for him if he did stipulate that. And the guy isn't stupid; he's just plays like he is because it's funnier that way. No one gets as many gigs as Harvey has and runs them all successfully if they're dumb.
