- Low pressure has arrived but is it here to stay for the next 10 days? Met Office meteorologist Aidan McGivern has the 10 Day Trend.

I’m in NW London, and the weather can’t make up its mind, took my dog out in brilliant sunshine and hot, 10 mins later it was raining with hailstones thrown in for good measure, and freezing..
I’m off to clacton for a week on Monday, trust me to book the rubbish week 😝

Just had a very isolated storm in Northants - thunder, rain & hailstones at least an inch in diameter! Never seen hail like it!
Just think , back in the 12 century they use to grow grapes in England .
They still grow grapes in South England

im in the southwest and its still hot, and the temperature reads at 28c!!
Well not all temps reads are very accurate like met office but I'm rn there and it's cool that's what I feel like 20 or 22C
And this the weather in this country is the reason as soon as restrictions are lifted people will be flocking abroad. I hope the campsite owners hotel owners and the like who are currently taking advantage of the current situation by charging outrageous prices make the most of it because you will be mostly empty next year once people have a choice again.

I just had a thunderstorm about an hour ago in Nottinghamshire with a few lightning flashes and heavy rain/hail ⛈
Can the met office app be set up to use my location and give me a 3 hour early warning of rain so I can decide whether to take an umbrella?
Still waiting for any rain in Scotland

English school holidays start so late
UK weather in a nutshell: Windy and rainy in summers and windy and rainy in winters. No autmn, no spring! You might get 1 or 2 brief heatwaves just to remind that it's actually summer, that's it!

@UCEx6LFTs67QTl--LMZ_K9Ew :( I've been living in the UK for about 10 years now and it's been like this since then. It's a bit strange for me. I am from Turkey and even we get lying snow every winter in Istanbul and below 0 celcious temperatures, sunny summers with above 35 degree.

Summer lasted 2 weeks. Autumn has started early this year
The school holidays have been on for weeks
It can stay away the heat wave yuk other wise environment plus my health issuess hate heat waves

@@heatherjoy479 31°C is what I love as an South Eastern European and I live in the UK and next year I'm going to a Greek island where temps stay above 25°C or around 29°C---33°C at night its like 23°C---27°C

Next few days and beyond !!! Storms becoming ever-stronger but forecasters look too embarrassed to admit Climate-Change ! Summer gales ! Jet-stream always a good get out. No real sign of any fine or settled weather.
If a weather forecaster can’t forecast & deliver good weather they are useless & need given their P 45 & sending down the road & replaced by a new forecaster that can forecast some decent weather .They are getting paid enough so no excuses !
In a western maritime climate forecasting beyond 2-3 days is problematic, depending as it does on the fickle jetstream.
