Frank Hu I wonder if you could even use the Cloud Wheels because of the big cutouts. They really seem quite big, so i think the 105s wouldnt be a problem at all. But for rough roads, even the 105s wont be good enough
For new viewers considering this board, I just wanted to mention that the Exway flex is now with 216Wh as mentioned on their website, but not 259Wh when dkwan made this video. That would means a range would be different and the BMS could probably be changed too. Just FYI since I am shopping as well.
Do you know if it would be a significant decrease in range? Im currently looking for my first board and was beginning to settle on this but if the change is that big of a deal i may consider looking elswhere

I got the exway flux hub motor about 2 weeks ago and it's been great! I got a 17 mile range (weight 150 pound, mostly flat surface going on average 17 MPH with an outside temp of 40 degree fahrenheit)

I just bought my first electric skateboard today walking into a skate shop and came across this video IM IN LOVE WITH MINE. I’m almost 100kgs and this board goes up any hill with ease, 50% power is enough for me and the battery lasts a long time Anyone debating if this is the one - This is the best value for money a skateboard can buy I haven’t even watched this yet but check it out !

Bro can I just say your videos are the most polished I've seen on TH-cam. The amount of effort you put in is clear. Keep it up and stay safe dude. Also, exway is literally the best esk8 company. I commented on a post from one of their staff wondering if I fit cloud wheels on the flex and they replied instantly, and then messaged me with a $60 off code. It honestly makes me so happy that some companies are not faceless corporations just there to make a profit.

@@EverythingbyMatt I personally think the Wowgo and Exway are better boards overall just due to the ESC, as T much prefer the Hobbywing esc's control interface vs the meepo's. This is a personal preference though and for the price, the Meepo is a decent board. I just prefer the belt drive and Hobbywing ESC in the Wowgo 3x and Exway Flex and thus make them my choices for the best eboard for the price right now.

But waiting isn't an issue for me as I'm a casual rider and don't like going too fast and love commuting around city (getting to work with e-board). Thanks for your videos, Daniel. Dylan Brand the Ownboard is much bigger and heavier. It has much more range though. Things you should consider ▶️How portable do you need your board to be? ▶️exway has good rep for customer service ▶️Do you like having an app ▶️ How much range do you need
The ownboard at is more capable than the exway flex in terms of off road advantage and range. However, since it's an AT board it's naturally less portable and takes more to charge and it's at a higher price. Depends on how good the condition of the road and range will be it's 2 different boards for 2 different buyers
Aaron Lu its standard for higher end boards. In fact some do charge only bms so your discharge rate is insane and not limited by your bms which exway did. Pretty sucky if u ask me.

Prebuilt eboards have finally reached me requested level of price and quality. I have no complaints of any of those specs. Particularly the battery, that's quality cells and a very smart bms.
Great Video! Question: as you ride do you notice a reduction in top speed or acceleration? I know you mention a reduction in braking power when battery is less than full. I saw another review claiming boosted boards do not reduce performance even when battery is less than full.
I was just about to buy my first boosted board until I just find out they went out of business. RIP I maybe looking into this board instead. Thanks for the review and the price is better then boosted.

Ooh! Production value has gone up noticeably. For a second, I thought the elements at 13:15 were 3d tracked. Only complaint is that the color grade caused teal pollution around black objects, like railings and shoelaces.

I had a go on a freidns Meepo, and Evolve a few weeks ago, and that was it.. I was so inspired! I love the sound and look of the Exway Flex, I just want to cruze and carving and find my fun joy skating feet once again, with the amazing electric capabilities. There are some great reviews out there, like yours, which have inspired me to pay a little more, and get an awesome board like the Flex. Now I am just trying to decide between the Hub and the Riot. Ultimatley, I can start with one, and then add the other. For now, I would like a super smooth ride. People mention the noise of the Riot, and that it will need more maintanence, but it seems to soun pretty cool.. and looks like it has great torque and grip. There is a problem with my exway flex battery; Now three time in a row it cuts power between 36% and 29% and go to 0% immediately and disconnected with remote and I'm not the first one who have a problem with the flex battery. I sent an email to exway and waiting for their replay. This video influence a lot of guys to buy this board so I hope exway have the responsibility to solve the defects.
Fantastic info overload. I have been looking at this board but out of stock : ( Copy from Exway Features: Max Speed 40km/h, Range 32km, IP55 Waterproof rating, 30% Hill Climbing, Weight 7.5kg, ExWay Trist 45 degree trucks, In the box - Electric Skateboard*1, Standard charger*1, .... Must have improved range. I prefer the type of cells in this board as i can replace.
They got me with this board, except one thing: They NEED to offer extra warranty for purchase, and then that's when ill trust myself to spend money on any product released by them. Boosted does it, so if they did that they would easily kill em

Awesome videos and very informative. I wish Exway was more straight forward like Backfire with shipping and sales. I put an order in 10 days ago and had to talk to a Reddit ambassador because my emails went unheard. I guess everyone is buying boards now that quarantine is over and they are sold out but they had a flash sale when they are sold out? Very weird just say sold out not pay an extra $80 for fast shipping when you have to wait 45 days anyways.

Since it uses the same ESC as the NLS, I don’t think it would get a positive review from me because of the less refined throttle and brakes (compared to Boosted and boards that use Hobbywing).
As of 3/5/2020 I don't happen to see extra batteries on exway's site. I might be sold on the flex if I can get a spare battery to have because I LOVE range and 20 miles is great, but I would like more

Is the weather condition can affect the battery performance? Coz you said you tested it when 43-54 Fahrenheit. Is it makes a difference if you test it in about 70-80 Fahrenheit?
so the x1 pro + riot is still their flagship product, yet it seems liike the flex's performance will overall outpace the x1 pro variants. There may be a noticeable accel difference, but the flex gets the winning advantage with range and minimal voltage sag
@daniel, I used to skateboard when I was a kid and remember quite a few times I hit the pavement all because of one little pebble. Are these susceptible to those mini road hazards?
Hey Daniel, love your reviews man! I would love to see a head-to-head between the Exway Flex and WowGo 3x. Looking to upgrade/add on from my Boosted Mini S, and I think a lot of people would be interested to see a comparison between these two with Boosted out of business. Also, wondering why you wouldn't just leave the board in Free mode all the time? Seems like it just gives you the option to reverse once you're in full stop automatically, like a Boosted board (aka - the laziest option!) haha.
Two reasons. First, with Free Mode on, you need to ease up on the brakes when coming to a complete stop to avoid going into reverse, whereas with that feature off I can just keep pulling back on the lever. Second, most of my other boards don't have this feature so it's easy to forget that this feature is there and fall forward when coming to a stop.
ayy daniel, definitely considering this board. you mentioned the deck isn't as flexible as the backfire zealot, wowgo 3x etc. how much of a difference will this actually make? i'm a uni student so I will probably be riding it around campus and in the city. also my first eboard :)
Hi Daniel, RE: PULLEY - BELT, Does it mean it is the same riot drive, BUT with a new drive gear and pulley? Meaning if one wants to upgrade or use the 15mm belt he just have to purchase a new version of pulleys and gear? Or maybe the new belt will fit the v1 riot without changing anything?

Thats where you buy the fast charger, albeit more money. But considering the price of the board itself, its a reasonable investment.

Hi Daniel* , great review.. Thank You! I am looking to buy my first e~skate~board~* and first skateboard in over 30 years, haha.. all very exicting! I had a go on a freidns Meepo, and Evolve a few weeks ago, and that was it.. I was so inspired! I love the sound and look of the Exway Flex, I just want to cruze and carving and find my fun joy skating feet once again, with the amazing electric capabilities. There are some great reviews out there, like yours, which have inspired me to pay a little more, and get an awesome board like the Flex. Now I am just trying to decide between the Hub and the Riot. Ultimatley, I can start with one, and then add the other. For now, I would like a super smooth ride. People mention the noise of the Riot, and that it will need more maintanence, but it seems to soun pretty cool.. and looks like it has great torque and grip. Do you have any perspective you could share, on someone buying his first eboard, who is deciding between the Flex Hub and Riot. Big Thanks in advance. Christof*

There is a problem with my exway flex battery; Now three time in a row it cuts power between 36% and 29% and go to 0% immediately and disconnected with remote and I'm not the first one who have a problem with the flex battery.
I sent an email to exway and waiting for their replay. This video influence a lot of guys to buy this board so I hope exway have the responsibility to solve the defects.

Exway really doing well i jsut hope they put a bigger battery in their next board, 12-15miles range flat out is what most users want!

They got me with this board, except one thing: They NEED to offer extra warranty for purchase, and then that's when ill trust myself to spend money on any product released by them. Boosted does it, so if they did that they would easily kill em

You mentioned that this board is flexy but not as flexy as competing boards. To your knowledge, what is the most flexible electric longboard on the market?
I have used loaded boards for some time, want to get my first electric longboard but I prefer VERY flexible decks.

Hi Daniel, great review. Is it possible to ride the board without the use of the motor or will the motor be damaged if used like a normal skateboard?

Awesome videos and very informative. I wish Exway was more straight forward like Backfire with shipping and sales. I put an order in 10 days ago and had to talk to a Reddit ambassador because my emails went unheard. I guess everyone is buying boards now that quarantine is over and they are sold out but they had a flash sale when they are sold out? Very weird just say sold out not pay an extra $80 for fast shipping when you have to wait 45 days anyways.

Just a thought do you think you could do a review on the Meepo V3 i have tried to watch other people review the board but i trust your opinion more and and you give more detailed reviews could you just think about it since you did the review on the NLS Pro. really appreciate it daniel.
Since it uses the same ESC as the NLS, I don’t think it would get a positive review from me because of the less refined throttle and brakes (compared to Boosted and boards that use Hobbywing).
As of 3/5/2020 I don't happen to see extra batteries on exway's site. I might be sold on the flex if I can get a spare battery to have because I LOVE range and 20 miles is great, but I would like more

They were the cheapest downhill skateboarding gloves I could find and I cut a hole for the thumb. Amazon has them under various brands I think.

Is the weather condition can affect the battery performance? Coz you said you tested it when 43-54 Fahrenheit. Is it makes a difference if you test it in about 70-80 Fahrenheit?

so the x1 pro + riot is still their flagship product, yet it seems liike the flex's performance will overall outpace the x1 pro variants. There may be a noticeable accel difference, but the flex gets the winning advantage with range and minimal voltage sag

@daniel, I used to skateboard when I was a kid and remember quite a few times I hit the pavement all because of one little pebble. Are these susceptible to those mini road hazards?
Hey Daniel, love your reviews man! I would love to see a head-to-head between the Exway Flex and WowGo 3x. Looking to upgrade/add on from my Boosted Mini S, and I think a lot of people would be interested to see a comparison between these two with Boosted out of business. Best E-skate content around, thanks brother!
Also, wondering why you wouldn't just leave the board in Free mode all the time? Seems like it just gives you the option to reverse once you're in full stop automatically, like a Boosted board (aka - the laziest option!) haha.
Two reasons. First, with Free Mode on, you need to ease up on the brakes when coming to a complete stop to avoid going into reverse, whereas with that feature off I can just keep pulling back on the lever. Second, most of my other boards don't have this feature so it's easy to forget that this feature is there and fall forward when coming to a stop.

ayy daniel, definitely considering this board. you mentioned the deck isn't as flexible as the backfire zealot, wowgo 3x etc. how much of a difference will this actually make? i'm a uni student so I will probably be riding it around campus and in the city. also my first eboard :)

RE: PULLEY - BELT,
Does it mean it is the same riot drive, BUT with a new drive gear and pulley? Meaning if one wants to upgrade or use the 15mm belt he just have to purchase a new version of pulleys and gear? Or maybe the new belt will fit the v1 riot without changing anything?
Reverse drive switches are a must.
