I’ve Six Sams ever since they came out (Reasoning Samurai Jon Moore build) and stopped around 2013 when Samurai used Asceticism on Elder. I just recently came back and REALLY needed to learn the new combos which take FOREEEEEEEEVER, but your video has helped me a lot. I will Amazon prime you your cape ASAP.

I built your most recent list the last couple of days. I've been watching your gameplay and trying to figure out how it works exactly. I feel like I've been beating my head on the wall. Thank you! Skill Drain is definitely frustrating to deal with. Six Samurai are a deck reliant on using the monster cards to gain access to the OP cards, so Skill Drain practically deletes the deck. You could tech in something like Secret Six Samurai Rihan to banish itself and Skill Drain (or simply use Lightning Storm)

I use this deck from one of your earlier videos. It's great if you pull off the combo. But it's hard to comeback when the opponent negates the summoning effect. I reached platinum with the modified version of this. with imper and other negates like grave. Thank you Emma for the idea! Keep it up
I still think there should be a card that can fetch gateway back from grave.. kinda like Battle shogun, except from the grave. Once gateway is gone, the deck has like no recovery.
Is there a decklist site for Yu-Gi-Oh like MtG has? Or do you mind writing the list in the description. I'm new and I'm on mobile so idk what a lot of the cards are when trying to look at the list. It's quite a rare use, but Shadow Shi en's effect can be used on Kageki to get a 3.5k atk monster easily, under certain circumstances (mostly against cards that can only be defeated by battle), this little trick can be useful
Instead of Shin En, Appoulousa and etc... Isn't more easy and effective to just go for the Rhongo combo with 6+ materials? I'm saying this because i dont have CP to craft all those UR in the extra deck =P
Don't forget the second next win-con of this deck: Boring someone to death with those long combos (I noticed you did it faster than most of the people, but still, looping Kizan 10 times should take some time) While I don't particulary like 6S (Played Morphotronic on DL during 6S era...), maybe I'll try this for fun on YGOPro, to practice loops and else And I'm curious on going second duels or getting interrupted while on your plays (And showing some deck reactions, for instance using Asceticism on 6S link to dodge veiler / Imperm, or something like that) In any case, GL with those coin tosses and avoiding those pesky Ash & specially Droll
Why do you go into shogun first? Isolde is always good for ash baiting and getting a card in hand for the discard for shogun (just in case you're missing an extender. I play this deck irl and that's always been my strat. I've been watching your six samurai builds for like a year now, since duel links- always great content btw
If I summon Battle Shogun first, it's usually because I haven't detected any hand traps and I have follow-up to start generating those bushido counters. If I notice a delay after using e.g. Smoke Signal, then I know the opponent has Ash Blossom and then I'll try to bait it out before summoning Battle Shogun
You are the best. Seriously, keep it up. I absolutely love watching your Content I run pretty much what you have. Also with the spell the A. Forces. It gives samurai a crazy attack boost. Specially when you have your field fill.
Temple doesn't offer the same utility that United + Dojo + Gateway does. It's essentially just another less useful card to store bushido counters for Gateway
So since yesterday I've watched the entire video and took the list through about 7 games in the solo mode against various decks just trying to learn the lines and I got some crazy ass board states on turn 1 and 2. Coming from Magic, having never played storm, I have never had turns last that long, it's so much fun. There are sooooo many decisions and lines to make and infinite ways to mess up but super rewarding when you get them right. This video explains every thing so well. Thank you!
My versions pretty much centre around using Isolde + Equips. I'm not aware of other TH-cam builds but I know 1 player on discord focuses more on Squire + Naturia synchros
@@EmmaValentineox I love the naturia version myself personally because I hate relying on Rhongo, though I believe the Rhongo version to be superior and easier to pull off.
AMAZING GUIDE!!! I think is the best guide about Six Sam on YT!!! As Six Sam player give me some ideas n I think is very useful, but can u make a guide to fight AGAINST some archetypes (SKY STRIKER n others). Nowadays everyone can negate you everythin!! I mean try to play Kageki paaf negate!! or Isolde...etc... I think Sky Striker is the hardest decks (to me) fight against... I tried many builds (by my own ) n go well with dragons n that but Skies are so hard... GREAT JOB SENSEI !!! I hope someday can duel with you!
Craft Kizan (SR) at the deck editor to unlock the Six Samurai pack. Also, check master duel meta website for a full list of cards and in which packs to obtain them in
Emma, when you send kizaru with cunning to search kizan, if you target the kizaru you sent and special summon it, obliviously you don't get to search kizan, but do you get a second search or does it miss the timing?
just another first turn solitaire, I was hoping to see some field breaking action from six sams, you see when the enemy set up a big 'NO' on their first turn board and how six sams break it
@@StriderZessei you missed my point, look imagine if the enemy go first and they play drytron with 10 negates on their first board or maybe even six sams and they summon rongo first or whatever.. then what? how six sam gonna break it? I was hoping to see that
What I can grasp from this deck is that aims to go first, hence why not regular hantraps like Ash & Imperm, but aims for Called by instead to keep going with your plays, and unless going for link plays, S6 doesn't count with big bodies, but aim for control with Shi-en duo & alternate removal like Rihan & Enishi, not to mention if Gateway gets destroyed / vanished your play are way more limited Unless DRNM / Droplet, Kaiju / Lava / Sphere or Cyber Dragon techs (need a monster on extra monster zone), I doubt someone breaks a Drytron full field that easily, not to mention Eva for more negates & Orange herald on hand just in case
A very good six Sam guide as always. It has excellent and easy to follow guides to the role of most of the core cards. A few improvements from a fellow six sam player: - squire is recyclable in TCG since infinite counter combo allows for infinite revival of shien cards. Read that as you will because until you can declare infinite counter combo in master duel it Squire would be a bricky and less justifiable option. (PS use Naturia beast over Naturia Barkion since it is easier to summon and more useful as essentially an imperial order). - only the acetisism build can justify using Enishi as it is very bricky. DO NOT PLAY ENISHI IN THE GENERAL BUILD Six Sam has had many builds over the years (some of them effectively banned in TCG) There is one broken build with true kings you can do with True king of All Calamities being legal right now in master duel. I love your content keep going :)
i feel like i tend to almost always go battle shogun second because it lets me consistently stack counters with shadow shien so i can always use saryuja's insane draw, and since i use the draw i always grab the broken bamboo sword cause it's more likely i draw into a golden. i also thin my deck as much as possible during the combo to draw better shit and i almost always grab a dojo or united and i can extend the combo indefinitely. also i think i almost always grab kageki with isodole cause i cant normal summon it and i'll be discarding it with battle shogun for hatsume resources
Hey Emma, love your content as well as another TH-camr Chomiker and have build my deck around both of your decks. Both of your decks only have slight differences. My only slight complaint of this video is that it seems like you had the advantage of going first and the opponent not having many hand traps to stop your combos. (That’s not your fault - that’s easy GG for you) I got to platinum 4 with this deck then began struggling when it came to going second or dealing with the opponent either using hand traps or locking the field down. Can you show more duels of how to get out of those difficult situations and still pick up a win? (As in guide videos) I think it’d be great to help people like myself not feel like we have to surrender when the duel isn’t going our way. Thank you!
While the bamboo cards fit the deck I don't really see their purpose? If u require broken bamboo to get golden out that is two cards you could have drawn instead of either of those?
I've seen success with this deck. But lately, I've been having some terrible hands with only equip spells and dojo. No searches and no summons. Theres nothing I can do about this problem right?
This one is great, I also play a Six Samurai Deck but they're always kicking my ass at Platinum V. Should I include ash x2 and Maxxx C x2 on this or would that be too much? EDIT: Wow, I've never thought of using ascetism of the Six like you did. I need to try it out.

Back in the day i just focused on calling Shi En with Kageki + Kagemusha and try to beef him up with protection and atk increase (safe zone + 2x united we stand = raidboss). It was so much simpler :(

How are things when you go second? It's not always gonna happen that you win the coin toss and I cant help but notice your replays are you going first each time o:
Same plays as usual. The only reason I don't have replays going 2nd is I had no luck with recordings for the entire week. People would surrender after resolving Battle Shogun or if I began to attempt my loops
I spent a week getting footage for the guide video. If I went 2nd, my opponent would surrender if I was able to break their board or resolve Gateway. I just didn't have any good turn 2 footage that was usable for a higher quality video than I usually post

As long as Kizaru is Chain link 2, it won't miss the timing
First turn Burning Bamboo Sword is also absolutely broken if you start with a bamboo in hand and search that instead of Golden

If you need to break the board, you use Rhongomygod (or whatever his name is) ability when he has 5 materials.

I enjoy playing this deck, but seriously No. 75 will not attach to Rhongo. Am I doing something wrong?
You need to summon Rhongo with 2 LVL 4's, otherwise Gossip Shadow won't be able to attach its materials

What do you mean when you say play at 1 copy or 2 copies?
1 copy = 1 number of the card

That's just bad RNG. Every deck has occasional bad opening hands unfortunately

This one is great, I also play a Six Samurai Deck but they're always kicking my ass at Platinum V.
Should I include ash x2 and Maxxx C x2 on this or would that be too much?

Bait out negates (e.g. Smoke Signal first)
Tech turn 2 cards like Lightning Storm
The two cards that have been quite annoying are ash blossoms and reigeki.. any counter plays to those ?
Called by the Grave or Apollousa help deal with Ash Blossom + Hand Traps.
Cards like Shi En and Naturia Beast deal with spells like Raigeki

Hey Emma, big fan of your vids. Could you help me build a six sam deck without link monsters? I'm an oldschool player just fooling around for fun and i'm trying to play the game like i used to.
I could try! But you'd really benefit a huge amount by using Battle Shogun + Isolde at the minimum though
@@EmmaValentineox what is the strategy with these 2? I watched your videos but i couldn't find any obvious pattern. Back in the day i just focused on calling Shi En with Kageki + Kagemusha and try to beef him up with protection and atk increase (safe zone + 2x united we stand = raidboss). It was so much simpler :(
@@drakeking9628 Battle Shogun lets you search for Gateway. Isolde lets you kickstart the bamboo card draw engine

How are things when you go second? It's not always gonna happen that you win the coin toss and I cant help but notice your replays are you going first each time o:
Same plays as usual. The only reason I don't have replays going 2nd is I had no luck with recordings for the entire week. People would surrender after resolving Battle Shogun or if I began to attempt my loops

Why are they all games of you going first? Some second turn duels would be insightful as well.
I spent a week getting footage for the guide video. If I went 2nd, my opponent would surrender if I was able to break their board or resolve Gateway. I just didn't have any good turn 2 footage that was usable for a higher quality video than I usually post
