💛💛💛 the very best show on radio and TV. Long live Gunsmoke, 👍🏻✌🏻🤠 just has the perfect combination of cast and story and Westen. Can't ask for more in terms of quality entertainment. Love the Actors.
A good solid episode - with a bit of comedy relief. Just out of interest, at 4:47 one of the girls tells the old codger that "you need a bell around your neck and one leg tied up." I'm wondering if anyone in the Gunsmoke community knows what this is in reference to? Perhaps it's a cattle management practice of hobbling a bull? I'd be interested in knowing. 10 Apr 2024
John Dehner as "Cullers" was superbly reprised in the television adaptation of this episode. IMO It was yet another example of Dehners' excellent abilities as a "Character Actor". This was well before "My" time, but in discovering many vintage radio & TV shows, I am repeatedly moved by the DIFFERENCE in calibre & quality of the performances of these fine actors. John Dehner just being one of dozens I could name, along with MANY more who started a great career on Gunsmoke Radio & TV over the years.

I just wish they made 400 more!
@@JeffSal999 Hopefully it will get a television adaptation 🤞
Every day I listen to this show. They don't make like this anymore unfortunately.
John Dehner played lead in Have Gun Will Travel. He was a great actor.
That was Richard Boone.
@@garyfrancis6193 it was Richard Boone on TV and John Dehner on the radio.
Now that was down right fun. 😁
Originally broadcast on July 30, 1955.

Yes you are correct about talent. Another amazing resource is found in early episodes of “Twilight Zone”.

@@daneh3443 Matt had to, unless he was a fruit .
Dehner Is good at narration. Probably trained. Reminds me of Greg Wagland
