I always thought Sheringham came across OK on TV, everyone on here that have met him seem to say otherwise. No one else apart from Cole seems to have had a problem with him in football either (apart from Alan Sugar and Roy Keane, who rarely liked anyone).
Cole scored a lot of goals but he missed a lot more, more than any other striker in the top tier. He doesn`t mention he didnt speak to Cantona either, and that was because Eric didn`t rate him, the times he set him up and he missed a sitter and Cantona just shook his head as he walked away. I think it would have been the same with Sheringham who was a terrific player. Sad to read the comments about him being an arrogant prick as I rated him highly.
Two sides to each story but when Andy Cole threatened to retire to force and move and the whole Andy to Andrew Cole change, let alone him and Dwight abandoning their child with Jordan before paternity, I can't see Andy being blameless
Had a supply teacher for a French lesson. Turned out it was Andrew Cole's old head master. We spent the whole lesson talking about Cole and football. No french best lesson ever.
You can see the interviewer on the right instantly regretting the ‘Roy couldn’t resist’ comment as I think people know realised how cringe it is to still keep talking about that.
i’d be too excited at making my England debut at wembley to even notice any so called snub, Andy is a strange guy, way too sensitive and huffy and happy to hold a grudge for a lifetime, that is not normal behaviour, and i’ll bet Sheringham meant nothing of it at the time
Cole really needs to let this go. He has been speaking about it in various interviews and podcasts for nearly 30 years now. Yes Teddy should have shaken his hand and wished him luck but surely its a situation that can be sorted with a five min (or less) conversation with him about it.
Well why has Sheringham never spoken about it or apologised! I’ll tell you why, because he’s embarrassed and he should be! And if Cole is asked about it, why wouldn’t he answer!!

Weren't ole Tedders a little bit racist? Fash spoke about his time at Millwall in the early 1980s. One of the team was calling Fash all manner of stuff. Fash smacked him. Well, you'd never guess who else was in the Millwall squad at the time. Well, let's just say, it may have been that certain sentiments were widespread in the Millwall squad at the time.
Sheringham had good strike partnership with both Chris Armstrong and Les Ferdinand at spurs.
Oh yea the old racism card ✅
@@thf3038 did he regard them however as "fit to wear the shirt".
@pauladdae3130 don't see why he wouldn't. He had good strike partnerships with both
What a stupid comment 😂
Has Teddy ever said why he didn’t shake Cole’s hand?
Yea coley had been using coconut oil on his hands, teddy said I don't want to be smelling of that crap and refused to shake his hand after being taken off.
I was walking behind Teddy Sheringham at Sky Studios in Isleworth. I called his name, and he turned around and looked at me with a blank expression. No smile. No, hello. It was like he looked past me. He carried on walking and I thought to myself, that was rude. I'm a huge United fan so it was disappointing. It's the second time I've seen Teddy around. The first time he had sunglasses and a snap back cap on indoors whilst he was eating with friends in TGI Friday. I'm sure he's the type of guy who only chats to his mates. He wouldn't go out of his way to talk to regular people
If there’s any doubt as to what Sherringham was really like and how much everyone hates him, just think back to all the times the old Man Utd players talk about him……… basically never.
So no one said they hated Sheringham then? They never spoke about him? Is that right? Where did you hear or read that?
Sheringham's dad was a COPPER, WHAT WOULD YOU EXCEPT.
Accept.
*expect
not just that but a copper from chingford - 2 plus 2
Well that makes sense. They never asked why two left Newcastle in a hurry. Maybe TS father knew.
toon fan here i loved andy cole ...sheringham was a legend and a pure professional ...andy is arrogant and being a snowflake..who cares if him and others never give praise the fans sing songs and chant your name.... you kick a football and get well paid ....a doctor in a hospital saves hundreds of lives... firemen who risk their own lives saving people probably only get a thanks and a pat on the back once or twice and dont think anything of it...real hard working people in the real world just get on with it you entertain people... and one of the best strikers ive seen ... poor andy never got enough attention
Still salty huh 😂
Who’s going to remember teddy sherringham? Nobody…
Don’t give him any more publicity ..
Everyone will remember Andy Cole for what a brilliant footballer he was… does not get the respect he deserves….
He looked like a gazelle, graceful xxxx
O dear someone didn't shake hands how bad
I always thought Sheringham came across OK on TV, everyone on here that have met him seem to say otherwise.
No one else apart from Cole seems to have had a problem with him in football either (apart from Alan Sugar and Roy Keane, who rarely liked anyone).
He is still hurting. I remember him and Yorke use to cause mayhem to defenders
Andy Cole was amazing. Didn’t get enough England Caps. But great club player…
Holding grudges is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.
Don't think Andy and Teddy had a massive spat...just a pair of egos naturally disliking each other from the start.
Two sides to each story but when Andy Cole threatened to retire to force and move and the whole Andy to Andrew Cole change, let alone him and Dwight abandoning their child with Jordan before paternity, I can't see Andy being blameless
What the f has Yorkes kid with Jordan got to do with Cole.
Had a supply teacher for a French lesson. Turned out it was Andrew Cole's old head master. We spent the whole lesson talking about Cole and football. No french best lesson ever.
You can see the interviewer on the right instantly regretting the ‘Roy couldn’t resist’ comment as I think people know realised how cringe it is to still keep talking about that.
i’d be too excited at making my England debut at wembley to even notice any so called snub, Andy is a strange guy, way too sensitive and huffy and happy to hold a grudge for a lifetime, that is not normal behaviour, and i’ll bet Sheringham meant nothing of it at the time
Life is too short to hold a grudge
But it's OK to still dislike Maradona
Teddy Sherringham always struck me as an idiot.
teddy sheringham is not a nice guy. ask around. Andy Cole ain't the only one. Sol campbell has something to say too.
Evidence?
@@markdavidson9743 ask sol
I would hold a grudge against Sheringham for life, I hate that ****
What was King Kev thinking of, selling Andy Cole to United? What a moby!
He bought sheerer to make up for it
He definitely holds a grudge but at least he is honest about it.
Sheringham is a nasty piece of work. Useless at playing cards as well.
Because 99% of Men let things go, do ot whinge or bitch about something ,laugh it off and move on....
Its not about cole letting it go. These podcaster clowns like Mr Humprey need the clicks and want something viral they always bring it up not him !
@@KingWL-d4v yeah fair point
He said in the interview he’s let it go. Don’t go telling everyone how to feel.
Sounds like he still has sort of grudge in how he talks about it and anytime he talks about it
....which is a lot.
Needs to stop talking about sheringham I have never seen an interview where he mentions cole at all
Met a linesman who said Sheringham was whinger
Heard Coley 50 times and he has whinged on most of them.Violated, indeed?
Never trust someone with little squinty raisin eyes who looks like Woody, the drummer from Madness.
Teddy Sheringham was a magnificent player, a real class act - As was Cole. Different styles but both great goalscorers
