Barnaby is really cute and precious for his love for animals and I chose him in every option so far. But I do think it’s sad and stupid how dumb they made him. Like you can’t be intelligent and good looking at the same time.
Barnaby has enough intelligence and common sense to grasp that something is a Bad Idea but also has chaotic dumbass energy aka he does the thing anyway and I love it (this isn't mine I'm paraphrasing a pinterest post lmao)
I chose Barnaby for the Celestial Ball since Talbott wasn't available but then went with Talbott to First Date and Festival Fun. But now, for Valentine's I'm thinking of going for Barnaby again and here's why: I didn't get to do the side quest to unlock Talbott and from my MC's point of view, he's never around. He only shows up when it's some sort of social event that includes dating, but he's not my MC's friend so it makes her feel a bit used. Whereas Barnaby is always available for Butterbeer, Gobstones and whatnot, he interacts with my MC in classes and even helps her with main missions! He even stated that he'll compete for my MC's if it's necesarry and declared multiple times how much he likes her (Ismaelda Crush, Potion class on Valentine's). Talbott would indeed be a better fit for my MC both physically and intellectuall, but he's never there and still conveniently gets dates with the most popular character in school. He's in for a big surprise on Valentine's day!
I prefer heartbreaker outfit because sweetheart is too overly pink though i like the shoes and the hair looked pretty good because it is ombre but unfortunately too messy, and it wasn't coupled with barnaby but more like with talbott
I was so happy when this quest shows up for me, I was so excited to be on another date with Barnaby, he's so much precious in my opinion 😊, but now I do have a question, Mc and the crush you chose, are they dating now? Like, in a relationship? If they are, I really wanna know if this is gonna interfere the history...
@@Jennyliil sadly, you're not in a relationship afterwards :/ sometimes it is mentioned in certain dialogues that you went on a date together or something like that, but that's all :/

Possibly a repeated question - I’m guessing this is a Year 5 onwards special event? At the backend of year 4 and the “magical creatures” quest was the only thing that popped up for me
My character chose "Nothing in here." when Professor Snape warns us about Amortentia's effects even though she also chose Barnaby Lee as her Valentine's Day Date. There's a reason for this -- after the Herbivicus Lesson, she also helped clean up after a Herbology Study Session involving Stinksap ended in a really messy fashion for one of the Students, only she forgot to remove her noseplugs. She also chose the Heartbreaker Valentine's Day Outfit. While she has nothing against the Sweetheart Valentine's Day Outfit, pale pink just puts off my character, no thanks to Gilderoy Lockhart.

Do these quests show up at particular points in the game? I just finished year one and none of the achievements (Hagrid's Birthday Party, defending the school from Greyback and the other one) showed up.

My daily planners started showing up in the middle of 2nd year. But I haven't gotten this Valentine's Day stuff yet.
