Stefanos, from one tennis TH-camr to another...what you did at the Australian Open this year is a great platform to build on for the future. It was a joy watching you against Roger. But I have to give you advice...comment as a follow up on your interview after the SF match. You said Nadal plays a different game, different dimension...a talent to make you play bad. I wouldn't call this a talent, but it's just that you are not jet equipped well enough to combat Nadal's heavy groundstrokes, especially on your backhand side. His ball has more energy on it than what you face regularly and that's why you feel like he makes you play bad, because you can't attack his groundstrokes. And to combat this, you need a heavy racket. That's why Roger and Novak can deal with his ball easier. I'm sure your team is aware of this, and I hope you will work on this in the future. Your current racket to the best of my knowledge, is customized to weight just over 330 g and a swingweight of ≈340, and that isn't sufficient to fight the heavyweights. You have to swing the racket too fast to compensate for the lack of mass, and subsequently make more errors. My 2 cents. Wish you to continue the season as you started! =)
You should watch the second set of the Toronto final then. Gear is never an issue at this level, nor it is at amatuer level. There are so many other factors that had a way bigger impact on the outcome of that match. Stef knows it, his team knows it. No need to worry. Also Nadal didn’t really played at such a high intensity ad you said, actually quite the opposite.
@@andreatennis98 Tennis is a game of small nuances and percentages. It's not like Tsitsipas struggled to win a point against Nadal, but if you raise the percentages a bit, just because of the equipment, that makes a huge difference.
Not sure if the racket weight is the issue here. Roger has a what, 350g racket? What about Novak, 330 maybe? So does Stan Wawrinka btw, who has a one-hander. I don't know anyone with a 350+ gram racket.

You were one of the first pro's that I followed since I started playing and watching tennis last year and i'm looking forward to my first tournament that I'm gonna watch live here in munich/germany. The evolution you went through is amazing to follow, because I can apply it to my own knowledge that improved over the months, though its just a metaphor. Hopefully I can meet you one day and have a little chat, I see alot of myself in you - who knows... until then you could be a multi grand slam winner or on your way to it.
