    Ed is half the value of this keyboard. When I forget or don't know how to do something with my FA-08, Ed is right there helping me to continue to fall in love with this keyboard. Without these videos I would have never gotten as much out of this keyboard. The visual is better than the manual for me. THANK YOU ED AND THANK YOU ROLAND!

    Thank you Mr. Diaz! After seeing one way back at NAMM 2013, I finally bought one last week (April of 2022) and love it! All your videos are a HUGE help in making this a LIVE performance board! Can’t thank you enough. 🎹🤘🏻

    Ed is really brilliant, this is my first synth, I owned many Yamaha keyboards in the past but FA06 is my first of other than Yamaha, the more I delve in to this the more I love, many thanks for great support

    Excellent video, thanks for the educational explanation, Ed Diaz. This new version has brought a feature that the years would like to use in Rolands. The possibility of multi-divisions or layers within the same PERFORM or now, STUDIO SET. Thanks Roland for the news.

    Getting ready to update my 08. This and other new features sound helpful. Did notice you would have to use 2 slots if you want to split a piano AND use a full piano in the same set. But, I rarely split a piano anyway, so not a big deal. Thanks!

    Regarding using the "8 - kbd sw group" pad mode, is there a way to assign "grp up" or "grp down" to control pedals 1 and 2? There isn't this function in the menu of the control pedal assign..

    It's possible assign pedal to advance the switch groups?

    • @Phant0mK16

      I think there's an option to do so, on control pedal settings look for "panel inc" or "panel dec" might not be it though I really hope so since I'm getting the FA08 soon and I really need that feature

    I'm setting up a Latin piano/Latin brass performance. I've got 3 x pianos each and octave apart on the left and similar on the right with brass. I had an idea of putting drums with the pianos. I'm only playing a few specific notes, it's a syncopated riff and thought if I could get the congas/bongos etc from the LA studio set drums octave shift and transposed to suit it may give me a really good sound but I can't get the drums to octave shift or transpose.....any ideas????

    Roland, can you please check the comments and reply. I'm going to sell my FA-08 if this volume reset issue when switching keyboard groups isn't resolved with a software update.

  • @kennethslot1974
    @kennethslot1974 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hi Ed,
    Love the kbd sw group, but there is a bug in the software. When you are using an expression pedal, and uses that for fading sounds in and out, then the expression is restoret when you changes switchgroup. so ex using the expression for organ volume, if its at 50% when changing sw group while holding a tone or chord then the volume jumps from 50% to 100% . Thats very annoying while using the keyboard for live performance.

    • @chrisking8379
      @chrisking8379 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that's what I was wondering about too. I haven't tried the keyboard switch group function but the volume resetting is going to be a problem for me. Have you contacted Roland support for advice about this?

    Thanks for the great video Ed, One question (which is possible not being answered, like the rest )
    Why is it not possible to save songs with the pad track on the SD card?
    We can save the song internally, but not export it (even as a stereo wav) ...why?

    • @coscrupi
      @coscrupi 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I asked that too on another video. Samples not included on Stereo wav export. No answer yet

    It's not quite true that these keyboards are identical. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the FA-06 has greater capabilities when it comes to SuperNatural effects.

    Thanks for the video: I have a question: are the settings related to the pad on a Studio-Set Base? I mean: you showed us how to group sounds using the pads for Studio Set 011. If I change the Studio Set, what happens? Does every Studio Set have its own configuration for the Pads (desirable) or not?

    Ed, this is really a great feature and the best part is it does not cut the sounds when switching to another group. The biggest issue while using this feature is, I am not able to use the drum loops that I had saved to a song and I am really upset about that. Is there a trick or work around to use the loops with groups. I would appreciate if someone can help me.

    Hey, I have a question. When i play live I use a midi footswitch to change the sound i'm using. the controller sends a program change to change the bank. I currently have roland juno-g and i'm thinking to switch to fa-06, so is there a way to change the sound group with a midi controller without changing the studio set?

      I don't think that they focus very much on external controls for their synths.

    For a TH-cam page entitled "product support", it's disappointing that you don't answer even a single question in the commnet section. It's all across all your videos. You just drop video and that's it !

    I have a litte question, the sound volume of the piano sounds is very low compaired to the other sounds, is the only Way to adjust the volume in the studio set and increase the piano and lower all other or is there another Way to fix it ???
