    I think you can flip a video horizontally in post processing. That would replace the mirror

      I presumed that would be the way it was done. Using a mirror is old-school - The intro mentioned Pablo Picasso so I imagine the analog reflection was more feasible than post processing back then!

    I watched several videos on YT, most of them proved to be wok of idiots. I hit your video. Crystal clear commentary, beautiful dressing, blue and black, nice hair style, smiling face, full of energy and lively. You explained everything exceptionally well and professionally. I would say the world is a good place because there are genius, intelligent and brilliant men like you in this world. Great video. I liked it. Thank you very much.

    Wow, I went through all of the 73 videos. Although I did not take the time to comment and like each one of them I`d like to say that It was all absolutely amazing. You are such a good speaker. I was having trouble understanding the HTTP pipeline and how spring worked behind the scenes when I came to your chanel. I found all of the content absolutely interesting and helpful. I'm so glad that the programming comunity is always so helpful providing such high quality material to people.
    I'm looking foward to watching your security videos for android.

    im just thinking about the mirror which you have used for flipping the image. what is the best position to shoot without camera actually intrusively visible in the shoot. i understand you kept it not perpendicular to the mirror, but then the view says it differently.

    Cool idea. The hard part for most DIY people is getting a room that doesn't echo, and doesn't reflect light from open windows or other sources of ambient light. Audio is always the most difficult, you seem to have nicely overcome that, too.

    you could also just do a horizontal flip in any video editing software, so the mirror isn't required. I bought my green screen from ebay for $50 and a giant sheet of perspex (acrylic) from a plastic fabricator for $100. Thanks for sharing this video!

    I don´t know if somebody already asked this to you. But I want to know, how long is the distance between plastic glass to the mirror and the distance between the mirror and the camera? I know this depends on each case, but I want to have an aproximate distance in the case I want to built a dedicate room for this.

    I realise this is an old (excellent!) video, but if uploader or anyone knows : What is (a) the optimum distance between the glass and the mirror, and (b) the size of the mirror relative to the glass? This is an excellent solution if one wants to livestream!

  • @MichaelSturgeon0317
    @MichaelSturgeon0317 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    As someone has mentioned, you don't need to video into a mirror. I use a glassboard and video the professor - then in Premiere I use the effect "horizontal flip" - I tell my colleagues not to wear clothes with words and we will be fine. After doing this for 3 years, I have only had to reshoot one because of the "words on clothes" issue. Try it out -- it is worth avoiding the work-around of using a mirror I am sure.
    Thanks for your post, BTW.

    For everyone who is saying you can flip the video in post, you can do that, however, the issue becomes your writing hand gets flipped as well (i.e. if you're a righty it looks like you're writing left-handed and vice-versa). I believe the mirror eliminates this issue.
