      There are lots of beautiful places to visit in Banff and Jasper. We didn't get to Lake Louise or some of the other beautiful stops along the Icefields Parkway this trip, but look forward to going back :)

    I’ve always wanted to visit Banff! It looks absolutely beautiful! Wow, those thermal spring caves are so cool! The water looks beautiful. I love the photos you included from the 1900s. Those mountains are so amazing.

      The scenery around that area is so spectacular. I love the drive along the Icefields parkway. There are so many lakes to explore and each one has it's own unique character!

    Hi and thanks, Exit Thru the Gift Shop for taking us to Banff National Park. I can almost smell like boiled eggs in the cave...I wish the visitors are able to at least dip our hands in the hot spring. My hands will be shiny and moisturized. Do you mind me asking what mountains covered the snow blanket I am looking at @6:16? A very informative and educational video as always. Just for my curiosity, are there any hot springs nearby for the visitors to actually get in the water? Well done and keep coming. Look forward to it. 🤗🤗

      It would be nice to be able to touch the water but no luck at this location due to the protected snails. If you want to take a dip you have to visit the Banff Upper Hot Springs, which is about a ten minute drive around the other side of the mountain. I'm not 100% sure which mountain is shown in the background (there are so many in the area), but my best guess is that it's Mount Cory. Thanks for watching!

    This is a really good documentary. I can tell that you invested a lot of work into editing it. The quality reminds me of a documentary I would watch on PBS. I'd love to visit the cave. It almost looks like a different world!

      Sometimes I think I worry too much about editing. It probably takes away from the spontaneity of the videos but I like to try to add as much info as possible. The Banff caves are always worth a visit - One of my must see stops whenever we visit. Thanks for watching!

    I've been to other thermal springs and know exactly that sulfur smell that you were talking about! 😮 It's still always a cool adventure to explore a cave. I like how they turned the former bathing areas into interpretative displays. The mountainous background was very cool too.

    I’m going to Banff today are we allowed to swim in that cave basin and is the water warm

    • @ExitThrutheGiftShop
      @ExitThrutheGiftShop  ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no swimming at the Cave and Basin anymore, you would need to go to the upper hot springs which is about 10 minutes away.

    I am impressed that a Man Made Pool made for Human Bathing is now being used to Preserve an Endangered Snail.

      I didn't think about it that way, but it is nice that they taking such great efforts to help preserve a very rare species.

    I want to bath in the cave whilst snacking on the cooked snails. Oh, and how about some sweet and sour Spotted Owl.

    Why can't you soak your hands in the water?

    • @ExitThrutheGiftShop
      @ExitThrutheGiftShop  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jethroabendano7675 There's actually an endangered species of snail that lives in the natural hot springs. You can still head over to the Upper Hot Springs pool for a soak :)
