    Not able to articulate very well what things are or exactly how they work, however unlike those who can same just yammer on forever, this guy is good to watch as he just gets things done.

    Thanks for doing this video, this crank is hard to find on Sram's website for service instructions because the current mode (same model number) is different, so finding your video was extremely useful. Thanks and great work

    This disassembly video was useless the THIRD time I watched it because I accidentally REMOVED the 10mm first, then backed out the 8mm...and couldn't figure out what was going wrong. Thought the 10mm cap was as a dust cover. Did NOT realize it acts as the crank extractor when you back out the inner 8mm bolt. Thanks.
    IF you want to update your video's "tags", this is the same extraction used on the standard (non-DUB) SRAM Descendant DH crankset.

    Hi, Great video - very clear! Thanks- I have a SRAM GXP BB and SRAM red crankset - I have installed both as you suggested, however the crankset is stiff to turn - it does not turn freely - you mentioned that it could be a spacing issue - should I add a wavy washer - if so what side?

      If it’s a pressfit gxp bb then a wavy washer is used on the drive side.

    Are the 2 small washers that are in the bag attached to the non drive side crank arm washers for installing pedals?

    Thanks for this video. I have this crankset for gxp and my bike box pedalier is 73 mm. I need a 2 mm spacer in the drive side because the cranks don' t turn round fine but sram don t explain anything about this. Jordi

    Hello. I am using a praxis works m24 crankset which is a gxp type crankset. I use a threaded sram gxp bb. The problem is after i installed and check that there is no slight play, but after riding it once for almost 1 hr and 30 mins i noticed it has a play up and down on the non drive side.

    I have a crankset and I feel a bit of up and down play, but only if I give it a good yank. And there is very little movement. You can just barely feel a slight shift. Do I just need to tighten that 8 mill bolt?

      Best thing to do is remove the chainset re grease the axle etc and refit then check for movement!!

      Free To Cycle thanks. Should I check the bearings or bottom bracket for play too? There is such a small amount of play and good amount of force to feel it, that I feel like it might be hard to tell where it’s coming from or maybe it’s just natural tolerances

      You can check the BB bearings are smooth but that’s about it without fitting a replacement! Best to try some grease first before wasting money on parts!

      Free To Cycle I ended up just tightening that 8 mil bolt down in hopes of not messing with it too much and it got rid of that slight play I was feeling! It had I would say I was able to tighten it almost half a turn more. So it wasn’t loose, but not completely tight

      On the drive side! The right hand side with a pressfit sram BB.

    I had to use an impact wrench to remove the crankset, regreased everything and torqued it back to 45nm
