Wow, I see a lot of similarities with our Sanatan/Hindu culture... We culturally sit on the ground, we use our hands to eat (we prefer no spoons), it is much more hygienic too (I can explain it scientifically, if required). Yes the host may load your plate with more food and 'order' you to Finish it, that's our Love and Affection towards our guest, we (kind of) force you to have MORE... We also pray to our Gods and then start eating. At the end we are supposed to thank our forefathers and God to bless us with nice and healthy food. We are not supposed to drink water while or immediately after eating. We are supposed to eat PAAN that helps in digestion works as a mouth freshener too. We are supposed to drink water at least 30 minutes after we finished our meal. We culturally are supposed to eat on large platters made up of bronze or silver (if one can afford that). Please share more, it helped me gain knowledge. Thanks

Noah Loiselle It's better to use ur right hand for most things.... unless ur right hand is really busy and u can't do anything about it.. then it's okay to use ur left hand... though many ppl will not judge you for that.. but it's nice to use ur right rather than left when passing food etc..
