    We took the Tekno EB48 2.0 to the track to do a little casual racing! The buggy performed well, this was my first time on a 1/8 track, so it was definitely a learning experience. As always, proper tire selection is 95% of tuning!

    Glad to see another video on the 8th scale tekno!! A tuning video on this buggy would be great, I love your tuning videos.

      100% just bought one last week! And even though I’m mainly running carpet it would be some good insight at least.

    Delta! Right on. I’ve been racing the 1/8 winter series there with my eb48 2.0. I like this new layout more. Raced it last weekend.

    My son built one of these at the end of last summer.... kit stock setup is pretty dialed! He ran some Lugz TQs for tires and brought home a 2nd place trophy his second day with it....and his 3rd time ever racing an 8th scale .... this was outdoor dirt... so setup may be a bit different for your surface, but I can't imagine removing the swaybar on medium-high traction...
    HW SCT speedo, 1900kv Tekin motor, and MKS 599 is what he has in his... and it rips...
    Nice video, have tun with that thing...

    • @RazorRC
      @RazorRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      nice job! yeah, the swaybar removal was a band aid because I didn't have much time or any other tuning parts with me to mess with.

    I'm really wanting that 2.0. I have an EB48.4 and love it. Great video my man. Gotta live those 1/8 buggies they are bad to the bone. The steering issues seem weird to me as I'm running box stock settings on my EB48.4 (went 20-30-15 in the diffs) and it steers on a dime. I can snap it 180 degrees on demand. The heat issue seems electronic as I'm running a sensored HobbyStar 2150kv 16pinion and it runs under 155 after 10 minutes of hard running.

    • @RazorRC
      @RazorRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      probably mostly a tire issue for the steering IMO. maybe too much front droop.

    • @daveshank1921
      @daveshank1921 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RazorRC Yes was thinking that too about the tires. Plus you said the track was wet too. That will do it. Mud is slippery lol. Love your content bro. Keep it coming. More 1/8 scale stuff is always welcome.

    I am really looking at this kit... however not sure what to get. New to rc and have the option to get this kit or a used RC8b3e RTR for 1/3 the price. Any thoughts or insight? Disabled vet using this to keep the mind busy.

    I have the Tekno short course and it is fun and pretty tough but I was thinking about converting it to the monster truck but apparently the chassis is shorter. Do you know if the buggy shares the same chassis as the short course? I would much rather have the buggy than the short course

    • @RazorRC
      @RazorRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The SCT chassis is shared with the old discontinued EB48SL and MT410, but not with any of the real 1/8 buggies.

    • @williamperri3437
      @williamperri3437 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RazorRC I owned the MT410 briefly and thought it was the same chassis. My Tekno SC is the one from 2017... So, what would be my easiest conversion if I don't want to keep it a short course? And is the old discontinued Tekno buggy smaller than the standard electric buggy?

    • @daveshank1921
      @daveshank1921 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe it shares the same chassis as the older buggies as Razor said. The A arms and steering knuckles and rear hubs are also different. Tekno makes or made 17mm conversion for the SCT. You could convert it. Get the 17mm hexes and a 3s battery if your not running 1/8 motor and get a wing and body and boom you have a big buggy.

    • @williamperri3437
      @williamperri3437 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@daveshank1921 I was thinking about it a few hours ago and even if I didn't convert it to a buggy I need the 17 mm hex conversion for more Tire options. I actually put the 8th scale serpent motor and ESC in it and it's a beast believe it or not... thanks for the reply cuz I need to do something. I think I'm going to wait till I destroy the body and then it's a go!
