came here after watching Hawaii night on idol 2022 just now. there will always be great performances to come out of that show, but i'll never ever forget the first time i heard this rendition of Yellow. i still can't believe we got the full version of this, and i still can't believe i found such an artist like SPP.
I am in complete and utter shock. This song is no longer Coldplay's anymore. Alejandro Aranda has put such a brilliant spin on this iconic song. I will never forget watching him shred this song live during the TOP 20 round on American Idol back in 2019. Towards the last minute, I started to bawl my eyes out crying. I genuinely feel like God was watching over this young man that day, and reminding him how much of a gift he is to society, let alone the music industry. My parents and I have been watching American Idol religiously since Kelly Clarkson on the very first season back in 2002. Now, exactly 20 years later; the show still lives up to its legacy and popular status. Alejandro, on behalf of all of Long Beach, California... congratulations on all of your remarkable success. I’ve been out of touch with American Idol for the last few years but I’ve been catching up recently. I came across this guy today. I stopped looking at any of the other contestants because this guy is awesome! He doesn’t belong with all the other people in this contest because he is totally above all these people. His caliber is so high that he shouldn’t have even been included with these other “Idol-seeking” contestants. He should have gone straight to Lionel’s, Katy’s, or Luke’s recording studios and been handed a check for his first albums. This guy is so good that I immediately wanted to hear all of his stuff. Luke was right when he said he didn’t even feel like he was good enough to critique Alejandro because he is just WOW! The piano, the stylings, the guitar, the compositions are all so good that any producer would have that kid be a millionaire. He is a great artist. I love listening to him!
