    Wow, my mind is blown. Thanks for sharing. I just got my first saddle and started watching videos to learn knotts. I was aware of the Blake's hitch (and the double Blake's hitch) and now thanks to you the prusick to use as an ascender. Thanks for sharing!

    Thank you so much for this video. In the other videos I've been watching, they would use only 4 loops and not 5. I'm using dynamic rope and I found the 5 loops hold while the 4 loops tend to slip.

    Bride your tag end of your Blake's to the other rope and tie another Blake to auto tend your first Blake

    Maybe I'm not understanding this, but the foot loop needs to be adjusted by hand correct? Can you explain

      Yes that's right. This is a very bare bones way to climb, but also a rather inefficient method.

    How do you advance that Prusik after each step?

    I have trouble with Prusik knots getting so tight under load of my body weight that literally have to push the tag end back through the loops to work the Prusik loose in order to advance it in either direction. Would adding more fingers to the Prusik help distribute the load and keep it from locking up so tight?
