Friday Night Funkin' (often abbreviated to FNF) is an upcoming open-source[2] rhythm game first released as a demo in 2020 for a game jam.[3] The game is being developed by a small group called The Funkin' Crew Inc., with the four founding members being the Newgrounds users Cameron "ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r. The game shares some gameplay features with Dance Dance Revolution and PaRappa the Rapper and borrows aesthetic influences from Flash games.[4] The game has been credited with driving users back to Newgrounds, a site whose popularity peaked in the early 2000s.
The game mainly revolves around the player character, Boyfriend, who must defeat a variety of characters in singing and rapping contests in order to continue dating his love interest, Girlfriend. Gameplay revolves around hitting notes with timed inputs while avoiding running out of health for the duration of the song.[5][6]
The game was initially created for the Ludum Dare 47 game jam on October 5, 2020.[7] An expanded demo was released on November 1, 2020, with updates being released in the following months. A full version backed on Kickstarter titled Friday Night Funkin': The Full Ass Game is currently in development.[8]

Apparently, there's theories that The Darkness from "Learning With Pibby" comes from the TV static void from Gumball's world.
This song feels like is just a truly insanely epic homage to all that, whilst also being an epic "corrupted battle song" in a place familiar, but still distorted and twisted into something...bad...
Like, how'd the heck did you encapsulate what a glitchy TV-void would sound like in a song?! It's crazy amazing! XD
LOVE the Ejected references throughout the song, btw. Somehow adds to the "fear factor". :)
I feel like that'd make sense considering that void is basically the place where things that shouldn't exist go
The theory I have that no one else seems to talk about is that The Darkness comes from the sixth episode of season one of "Xavier Renegade Angel." It's an adult swim show, the same network that released the trailer of Learning With Pibby, and when you analyze the events of the episode and the main character Xavier, it makes sense. And from what I've seen, it has more evidence to support it than the static void theory. I have to give a little background before I explain the theory, since XRA is a trip, so, basically: At the end of nearly every episode of XRA, Xavier causes complete destruction/Weirdmageddon levels of chaos onto whatever civilization he's stumbled upon, sometimes even destroying entire realities. And he has been seen to manifest his own delusions into reality, turn his back on them only for them to later cause real damage all while he is completely oblivious to it. In the sixth episode of XRA's first season, Xavier finds a snail made out static while he is stranded in the desert that he starts every episode in, suffering from "sand madness" this time. Remember that. The snail tells Xavier, "Feed me." And Xavier does so by tearing his face off and tossing it to the snail, the snail then loses it's static and the static is replaced with Xavier's skin. Later on through out the episode as Xavier tries to discover his origins the snail makes a couple cameos, such as crawling out of a TV Xavier was carrying after he drops it, supposedly re releasing it. And it can be seen again later insulting Xavier. Near the end of the episode, after Xavier eats his own vomit to travel back to the present time, he goes from eating vomit to eating sand as he's transported back into the desert. And he says: "Perhaps there is truth, in sand madness." Remember that. After that, the snail re appears; asking to be fed again. Xavier says, "I'm not making that mistake again", as he puts his face back on and walks away. The camera, now solely focused on the snail, zooms into the snail as it says "Will you feed me?" As the camera zooms in until there is nothing but static. Now here's the theory: Everything that happened in the episode, including the existence of the snail, was just Xavier's hysteric "sand madness," meaning none of it was real. But as I've said, Xavier can sometimes manifest his delusions into reality, and accidentally push them in the path of causing destruction. Xavier, feeding the snail, a manifestation of his delusions, had given it a physical form when he fed it, and gave it a taste for characters that exist within television. Then, later, when he refused to feed it, the snail enveloped our screen with static, making it's transformation, and leaving Xavier's world to consume the characters of other realities instead. Xavier, who causes mass destruction/ a mass wipeout of life at the end of nearly every episode, just caused the end of the entire fictional multiverse. And one more thing I found interesting, The Darkness taking the form of a snail reminds me of the concept of the Immortal Snail. A snail that can't be killed, will kill you instantly upon touching it, and crawls to you until it finally gets to you. Which is very similar to how The Darkness functions, chasing it's victims as a giant flood of corruption, relentlessly hunting you through realities, consuming everything in it's path until it gets you. Anyways, thanks if you read this.
