I am a drafting teacher.the 3 views should be in an L shape formation.top view is above the front view.right side is adjacent the front view.the 45 degrees cross axis is at the blank quadrant.

that's a 'set square' old bean, not a _triangle._
Also you can thicken the end of the dimension line instead of using an arrow.

You may check the edge of your drawing board. Make sure it is straight and squared.
