Hey! Thanks for the comment. Yes, great question. Started having issues with the passenger side amber on this trip. Still need to diagnose the problem!
Fun trail to do for sure. Did it twice this year, once on a pre-run for the club then took a group on this trail and ended up in Cave Creek for a nice lunch at the Horny Toad...
Nice, I imagine it would be a good trail for a larger group since there aren’t many obstacles to hold things up. Not really sure how it gets a 5/6 rating on trailsoffroad. What we encountered was a 3/4 at the worst imo. Will have to check out the horny toad next time I’m up that way!
@@4XTRAIL I agree on the rating being a little bit high but none the less a very nice trail. There are a lot of good options in Cave Creek for lunch and a beverage...
Great video, love the views. I hate to see the abandoned vehicles along the trail. It just turns into junk. Side note: Because of your video on the Yokohama's I am getting mine installed today. My re-gear isn't scheduled to the 19th. I also went with the Artec Apex Front Truss kit. Keep up the great work!
Hello thanks for the video that was fun, and it’s awesome you guys brought the dog I love it, but I do worry about in an area like that with the dog rattlesnakes!!!! are you happy with the 392? I recently ordered one it won’t be here for about I’m guessing four months and I can’t wait, what size tires are on your 392? running spacers? I quickly watched your video you may have said it later on in video, I’m going to watch again later but just wondering how it’s all working out for you? 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hey Jon! I’ll see if Shawn can chime in and give some longer ownership feedback. But here’s a video with a little more of the details on his rig: th-cam.com/video/hpsVMNAqjbI/w-d-xo.html
I am sorry if I missed this but are you rolling on 40s? I have a 392 XR that I absolutely love. I had a Jeep Mojave which was a great truck, but the long wheelbase without an engine to match the competition i.e. TRX or Bronco Raptor. The Mojave needed to roll on 35s with a V-8. Jeep if you are watching or listening...forget electrification and listen to your customer. Note I passed on a 4xE in favor of a V-8 that gets 13.5-17.5 mpg. Make the Gladiator Mojave with locking front and rear diffs with sway bar disconnect rolling on 35 or better with a 392 hemi... and you can rule the world!!!. My 392 Wrangler is still an SUV. But it serves up 0-60 in 4.2 seconds and the 1/4 mile at a respectable 12.7 seconds. And oh by the way nobody really wants to go faster than 114 mph in a Jeep if they value their lives. I am glad Jeep created the 392 Wrangler JL with a one-touch top. It is a game changer for performance guys that want to dominate off-road as well. It retains its Rubicon rock climbing prowess. Wow! Love it!!!!!!!
Not sure how far the border is from where you were at, but could that camo Tahoe possibly be a abandoned drug carrier? I knew a retired border patrol agent from Texas, he said it was at time a weekly thing to come across suvs abandoned, gutted out with nothing more than a driver seat for max drug capacity buried to the frame or burned to the ground.
Interesting, not something I had thought of. The Tahoe was located on the easier access end of the trail. This trail is around 200 miles north of the border though.
I grew up near this trail in the town of New River. There's really no reason at all that a drug running vehicle from the border would be on that trail. Its way to far from the border and the trail doesn't lead anywhere.
Hey Caleb. I'm still searching to replace my Milestar tires. Can you give me any feedback on road noise and maners with your new Yokos. In comparison to the Patagonias. Also if Shawn is here, curious about the same with the Coopers. Thanks. Love the vids. 👍
Hey! The yoks are wearing in pretty well for me. They have a slight hum since new whereas the milestars were pretty quiet until they weren’t (started getting noisy around 10k). However I can run less psi in the yoks since they are a flat top vs the domed milestars so long term I think I’ll like the yoks better in terms of ride quality and tread wear. If you are okay with a hybrid I hear the ridge grapplers are slightly quieter and wear very well also so you might check those out. Shawn said he’s impressed with the coopers so far but he doesn’t have many miles on them. He ran KM3s on his old jeep and said he loved them. Those are probably the tires I’ll try next, the KM3s because I’ve heard a lot of good things. Very happy with the Yoks for now though. Hope that helps!
Nice! Yeah, the trail itself is called New River Canyon and is well traveled. It runs from New River to Cave Creek and we started at the end just off the 17 near New River.
That 392 exhaust will never get old, love it!
Totally 💪🏼💥 thanks for the comment!
Great video...just watched through to the narrative. Good stuff!
Thank you!
Those desert sceneries are epic! I see those Yokohamas are treating you well
Hey man! Yeah, they are so far! I’m liking them on and off road. Still finding the perfect psi - currently running 29 on road.
Awesome video. Keep it up. Subscribed.
Appreciate it! 👊🏼
That super worn out thread on that front tire from the deserted vehicle….it’s no wonder it didn’t make it!
No joke!
So great trail route!!
Jeep looks awsome.
West side is better than east side.
Thanks bro! Do you guys have any trips coming up with the Jeep?
@@4XTRAIL I went to Utah, Arizona and Nevada last X-mas holiday on my RAM.
But I wanna go there again with my jeep!!

Those Yokohamas look nice! What size tire and gear ratio are you going with?
I’m going 37/12.5/17 with 4.88 gear ratio.
@@4XTRAIL Thanks man! I'm sure I am gonna love them from everything that I've seen.
Nice! Have you hiked West Clear Creek yet?! Fossil creek closed this year. Need to find some water to swim and relax!
Hey! I haven’t, will have to check that out! Yeah, running water is a nice thing to find along the trail for sure.

These abandoned vehicles…I just don’t know what they’re thinking
Same here, pretty crazy to see two on one trail. Hopefully they Commander was just temporarily stranded.

Is your buddy running spacers with thos stock xr wheels and 37s?
How many miles long is that trail starting from 17 juncture to Cave Creek? It is close to where I live. Thanks👍
About 20 miles!
Trail 41 between i-17 and the 24 near 7 springs. Beware, this trail changed drastically after heavy rains.
This one still available?
Trail is open last time I checked!
Are them 40s on the 392? Sorry if this was answered somewhere else.
Hey, they are 37s. Cooper STT Pros
Mpg off road for 392
I’ll have to check w/Shawn and see. He’s getting around 13mpg on road.
